« on: April 30, 2016, 02:04:00 AM »
Rebooting a campaign, PC's will be the Sherrif's department of a small rural county near Philadelphia in the year 1776, facing off against Lovecraftian Horrors.

Wil be using d20 Modern rules with some additions.

Assuming this hasn't died, I'm interested. Been home a long time, but would enjoy getting back into things.

yays!

Im working on the spellls and spellmaking rules now.  I'm hoping to get one more player and then we start, if not it will be a small group.  You'll be a sheriff's department in a rural village outside philadelphia in september 1776.

So apparently I failed a spot check and thought you said 1876. I rolled up a gunslinger and everything. Not exactly going to work lol. Back to the drawing board. Definitely want to go either smart or fast as my base class, any suggestions?

Currently I'm thinking a pick pocket who was arrested and in custody of the police when things went screwy and has just stuck around because he doesn't have anything better to do and they feed him. Probably smart with criminal into something maybe something magically inclined.

http://www.history.org/foundation/journal/spring03/branks.cfm   punishment for offenders is sort of harsh, with branding being the punishment in mst places for a first offense of theft.

I was actually thinking of something along those lines. Does that work for you? And how do you want to handle equipment?

Am I joining an existing party, starting with a new one, or running solo? I couldn't tell from the campaign section.

We're rebooting so you'll be joining Sol and Robby (and anyone else who wants to play).  The wealth system for d20 is damn wonky so I was gonna sit down with everyone when we're ready to go and chat about what you guys would like.

I'm glad I asked about the wealth system, I've never been great with the d20 wealth system. I'll start on my sheet now then.

Investigate, and Knowledge (Behavioral Sciences, Technology) are unavailable.  You didn't list which knowledges so I thought I'd give you a heads up.

I'll rework skills.
Edit: mostly reworked. Still need to decide on one craft skill
I could also switch things around to take personal firearms proficiency and ranged feats, but melee seems the better option considering the reload time of 1700 firearms.
