Still standing several feet away, Zulketev slowly reaches inside his cloak for a small leather pouch he keeps for such situations.  It only contains ten silver coins, but the clinking of money will hopefully dissuade any further problems.  He tosses it in a way that the brigand needs to release Gevyen's shoulder and catch the pouch with that hand.  As he tosses the pouch he states, "Come on, Gevyen.  You should tell your companions about the friendly hospitality of the marketplace."  He prepares to cast a Grease spell underneath any person who tries to stop them from leaving.

<Gevyen and I may have a little trouble with some street toughs.  A little assistance may be needed, and we should reunite everyone somewhere; this place is full of too many cutthroats.>

(Where's Kwah-Yah positioned exactly on the market? My guess is his form must be pretty well hidden, considering no one jumped to attack him yet. I suspect talking is going to give it away as well, so i'm kind of keeping a bit quiet for the moment.)

((Brujon & Riek are located someplace near the entrance of the Market where you all came in. I'm assuming some place rather inconspicuous and out of sight. Most likely within the shadows.
On the other side of the Market where the Arena and Slavers are is where Zero is causing the commotion.
Alphonse followed Mercutio into a large "FreakShow" tent in the middle of the market.
Zulketev was moving towards the slavers but got side tracked into helping Gevyen not get robbed while purchasing a hot meal for everyone at a food stand.

and thats everyones positions. the market is huge, its the largest one in the area and has nearly between 600-1000 people here at any given time. so I wont really be making a map unless I have to. the picture I posted of the market earlier is a pretty good idea of the hustle and bustle.))

Mercutio has a lurking suspicion that one of his friends might be assaulting Mr. Black at this very moment... "Pardon my lapse of manners. I'm Mercutio, and this is Alphonse. And yeah, I'm the more talkative one of our bunch.

Well, maybe we'll come back later and see if Mr. Black is back. We have a few more things to look for around the market I think. Nice talking to you, Prickens."

Mercutio decides that perhaps he and Alphonse better go help their friends before they start a riot in the square from the sounds of the chatter over their Messaging system...

<Zero, you will ruin this mission if you don't disengage now. There are too many of them and too few of us. You will get killed soon and we'll be dead too if we help you. Or worse, we'll all be enslaved. And the mission will be failed so close from its start.> Riek notices his bird friend is unresponsive so he tries harder to convince him. Even though it is not his usual line of action, he lies to his friend: <I'm really sorry, Zero, but you're on your own. I... I mean, we will not help you. You brought this on yourself.>

Riek is visibly torn between two choices. Helping Zero might be the end of the mission, but he will never forgive himself if he just stood there. So he gets ready to jump in the fight.

He says to the others except Zero. <Regroup! How's the way out, Mercutio? I'll jump into the fight and try to help Zero. I don't think we'll make it. But the mission is more important. Carry it on and don't look back. We'll try to catch up if we get out of this alive. GO!>

While running Riek replies to Kwah-Yah with a smile, Thank you! But we can't win this fight by ourselves. Lets just grab Zero and flee. Do you think you can grab him while I cover you two?

Alphonse grins and bows, making sure to keep the distinctive hilt of his dagger hidden beneath his cloak as the pair turn to leave the tent.  Once safely out of earshot, he whispers to Mercutio "Should we hurry?  They can't have gotten too far, we were only in that tent for a minute or two."

Just then he receives Riek's messages.  "Well, that escalated quickly.  Perhaps our friends are in more danger than we thought."
And then through the Trinket:  <Mercutio and I are coming!  If you must engage, try to conceal your identities as best as possible, and do your best to make it appear to the crowd that you are not the instigators!>

I can grab him, yeah, but i don't know if i can do it without hurting him in the process, but i'll try my best.

OOC: dna1, i have to take a penalty to deal nonlethal, right? I wager i'd have to retract the skin-spikes in order to refrain from dealing lethal damage. If i want to grab him at a distance it can't be a normal grab, it'd have to be a improved grab, and that requires an attack with a natural weapon prior to the grab. Can it be done? (That's because a normal grab requires me to move into his space, and improved grab moves HIM into MY space, which is what we *want* to do. Unfortunately it's only 15ft for now...)ed a

EDIT1: I really need a wand of Extend Tentacles... It's a lvl 2 Sorc/Wiz spell, but +5ft reach really helps a lot.

Good! Make sure you hide your arms until the last second. And try to keep your face hidden too. Grab him and run. I'll be right after you.

<I can try to swap you with someone up to 130 feet away from me.  If it looks like you are getting into trouble, I'll try to switch you out with one of these peasants, so you can get away clean. But you'll have to be on the ground!>

Zulketev moves in the direction Riek is headed, so he can pull his companion out of the fire if need be.

<That's not a good idea. The innocent bystander targeted by your spell would be charged of attacking the guards even though he or she will look different than me. I've seen a lot of creatures capable of changing their appearance. But if you could change my appearance after the others are safe, that would be the perfect way out. Can you do it? Wait! I remember someone in this group had a hat that could do it. If that is true, can I borrow it?>

<Zulketev, can you trade me for Mercutio twice quickly? If he can, Mercutio, drop the hat on the floor when you get here and I'll pick it up when I get back.>

Riek gives Zulketev a thumbs up and stops for the teleportation.

Zulketev sees Mercutio take off his hat, and waits a moment for him to have an opportunity to drop it.  He utters the incantation and his two companions swap places across the market.

<Riek, put the hat on so that I know you have it,> Zulketev thinks to both companions.  When he sees that Riek has the hat, the Killoren concentrates once again, speaking the words to transpose his two companions once again.

Mercutio waits for the teleportation, drops his hat, and then immediately ducks behind cover and casts a spell to change his appearance once he's back in his previous position. He takes the form of a nondescript human.

Over the link he says <I'll cover your escape when you're all ready.>
