I chose to have a snow leopard as my "pet" (instead of the viper), and added the warbeast template to it. It wound up being pretty strong... so I thought I'd run these stats by you to see if they are OK. I added one skill point for level up (to Hide), and changed its Weapon Finesse feat to Multiattack (since its Str is now equal to its Dex). I also bought some leather barding for him, and was planning on changing the racial bonus to hide while in tall grass to instead be when in snowy terrain, if that's OK. I didn't add the speed increase from warbeast to his climb speed (but am happy to if you want :P ).

Thane the Warbeast Snow Leopard
Size/Type:   Medium Animal
Hit Dice:   4d8+8 (33 hp)
Initiative:   +4
Speed:   50 ft (10 squares), climb 20 ft.
Armor Class:   17 (+4 Dex, +1 natural, +2 armor), touch 14, flat-footed 11
Base Attack/Grapple:   +3/+7
Attack:   Bite +7 melee (1d6+6)
Full Attack:   Bite +7 melee (1d6+4) and 2 claws +5 melee (1d3+2) (and 2 rakes on pounce or if started in a grapple)
Space/Reach:   5 ft./5 ft.
Special Attacks:   Improved grab, pounce, rake +7 (1d3+2)
Special Qualities:   Low-light vision, scent
Saves:   Fort +8, Ref +8, Will +3
Abilities:   Str 19, Dex 19, Con 18, Int 2, Wis 14, Cha 6
Skills:   Balance +12, Climb +11, Hide +9*, Jump +11,
Listen +8, Move Silently +8, Spot +8
Feats:   Alertness, Weapon Finesse Multiattack
Environment:   Warm forests
Organization:   Solitary or pair
Challenge Rating:   3
Advancement:   4-5 HD (Medium)
Level Adjustment:   —

*Warbeast snow leopards get racial bonuses to hide and move silently of +4, and spot and listen of +1. In snowy terrain, the hide bonus increases to +8. They also have racial bonuses of +8 on jump, climb, and balance checks, and can always choose to take 10 on climb.

And here is a new image for my character. :D

I don't pee messages into the snow often , but when I do , it's in Cyrillic with Fake Viagra.  Stay frosty my friends.

Looks good.  I like the snow leopard use (I was just looking at those today, doing prep work for my home game, as the PC's are about to enter an area geologically similar to Kyrgyzstan and the Tien Shan mountains).

Is that image just "Here's my character?" Or do you want me to try and make tokens from that?

Nah, just a pic. The other token is fine.

Where is the MW Lute from? Complete Adventurer or something?

Yup!
I would post the entry straight from the book, but unfortunately its one of the few I actually don't have. So I've just been going off of what I can find in the forums.

Are we allowed to use exotic materials for our arms and armor? Such as Mithril or Darkwood etc etc?

Also second question, how are you handling weapon enchanting and pricing.
Technically by the book you would have to have a weapon with a 1 + enhancement on it, to add a +1 weapon quality. Effectively making the weapon a +2.
That being said.. I know a ton of DM's who don't use that, and if you want to just have a say Flaming longsword, you would only have to spend the 2k for the +1 quality. As opposed to spending the 8k a +2 costs. Of course the Masterwork req's still apply. What ever you choose to do is fine.

Anyways.. thoughts?

That's good, because otherwise my character couldn't even carry her own equipment. :P

That's what your party full of burly dudes is for.

Not that Bjartr is all that burly. He's rocking mithril and still pushing up against his light load.

Alrighty no problem, thats the same way I do it in my own games as well. I know you like to limit how much we can spend on one item, would you allow

Yeah, but she couldn't even carry her weapons and armor.  :-\ Had to downgrade from a heavy shield to a buckler (which will allow her to fire her crossbow without dropping her shield, at least...).

I am pretty much ready to go, except for maybe a couple hundred gold I haven't spent.

Still waiting on skydragonknight to check in.  But it hasn't even been 24 hours since the board was created, so I'm not surprised.  I imagine he'll check in today or tomorrow.  Just keep working toward finishing your characters up.

Yeah, I'm here. I was rather sadistic when making my school schedule fit my work schedule - I hereby no longer exist on Tuesdays. That said, I've been up 18 hours on 3 hours of sleep... so rolling hit points then rolling into bed.

edit - Fighters, eat your hearts out.

No kidding!  Wow.

Good to know about Tuesdays (and the Wednesday recovery... I assume).

At a quick glance it looks like Nanshork still needs to spend his last bit of coin, and roll his hit points.  How is everyone else coming along?  Just give me the word when each of you is ready to go.

Edit:  Also looks like dna1 didn't pay attention about rolling HP's.   :P  Just reroll in the HP thread (you'll end up with higher almost assuredly).

(Sorry if I'm coming off as an over-excited school boy; I'm just excited to get this thing going!)

Oh ok I didn't realize that we rolled both sides and picked the best. I will get down on that in a moment.

In regards to the Masterwork Lute. I don't have complete Adventurer, could someone post the info for it please? I can't seem to find anything online besides just mentions of it.

All I need to do is make my AC, and finish spending a bit of gold. (oh yea and rerolling hp :D )
