You grab the man's head and slam your fist into it.  The man falls.  Like a stone.  Like a stone who has had its head grabbed and a fist slammed into it with all the force an angry librarian can muster.

The last man standing does not look pleased.  Still, he has a job to do.  In a fit of desperation, he turns and slashes at Spider with all of his strength.

"I'll at least take down one of you!"

As my blade bounces weakly off of his, I close my eyes in resignation.  My armour is making strange noises, smoking heavily, and leaking a strange, orange liquid.  It's useless.  It's all useless.

Nanashi surges forward and Interposes himself between the knife and Spider, feeling the blade cut into him.  He lets out a pained Grunt as the blade pierces him.  His eyes burn with fire.

"You're MINE."

This whole "death" thing seems to involve less "being stabbed" than I expected it to.

I crack an eye open to see an angry librarian standing between me and my attacker.  I...huh.  I can't say that I was expecting that.  He put himself in harm's way to protect me.  Would...hrm.  I'm not sure if I would have done the same for him.  And, for some reason, that bothers me a little.

I sidle around Nanashi, getting me an angle at our attacker's exposed side.  Half of me is screaming at the rest of me to run away, but, damn it, I can't just leave Nanashi here.  Sure, he could probably take the guy down with ease, but I should at least try.

"Nanashi," I mutter, "I am so incredibly sorry if I get you by accident."

One final attack.  Heaven or hell, let's rock.
