The Scout in the lead finds a suitable path that speeds his progress and he begins to put the more hazardous terrain behind him and into sparse jungle cover.

The second Scout enters the tunnels close to where Rald performed his trickery. He then blasts through the tunnels and quickly finds a path out, entering an area of sparse jungle.

Kel makes some headway on gaining on the scouts but is slowed by low hanging vines and the twisting tunnels.

Silten is finally successful at breaking into the Imperial communication network to jam the scouts transmissions. Now if he can just find out where his Kybuk has taken him.

Corrans blaster bolt slams into the troopers back shoulder slumping him forward a bit but the Scout speeds onward.

Seeing Corran's shot strike home and the speeder accelerate, Rald hunches down low and pushes his kybuk hard, determined to catch the stormtrooper and take his speederbike from him. It's too useful a tool to not even attempt to save it from a crash.

The Scouts race over the clearer terrain. Not aware of the fact that amongst the fungi and vegetation are large bone piles half buried in the ground as the earth seeks to return everything back to it.

The ground just behind them erupts. Towering above the ground in their wake is Felucia deadliest specimen...the bull rancor. It swipes it's mighty claws, it's moves coming very sluggishly and misses grabbing the Scouts as they race away. Hoping for a last meal, its death throws are all it can bring to bare on those interrupting it.

Rald, being so close to his chosen quarry, gathers himself up on the back of his Kybuk, and leaps the gap between his kybuk and the back of the speederbike, trying to knock the stormtrooper from it in the process.

Tuokool guides Razus past the dying rancor but realizes a little too late that he is still within it's reach and hit slashed by a glancing blow of it's mighty claws.


Silten begins intercepting the transmissions of the Scouts,

"....tchpost D9561 do you read us? We are inbound hot to your location....repeat, inbound hot to your location....damn planetary interference! Bash are you still with me back there?"

Simultaneously, the other scout is also noticing the cut out in communications, "Lukcy? you there? I have one on my tail and another.....ummph... just jumped... onto my..... speeder. nnnughh. Get the other.... one off me. Do you copy... Lucky? Get off me tentacle-face!"

Both Scouts with Rald along for the ride begin a decent into what must be a river valley. You can begin to make out where a small river cuts its way through the jungle.

Without much to hang on to besides trying to grasp a hold of the trooper in front of him, the scout tries to do his best to shake Rald off the bike.
