Did you not just forget me Sirpercival ?  :P
If we really need a spellcaster, I can bring instead of the Firespeaker a Warmage or a Beguiler from Zieghander's homebrews.
"-Lady-Captain, we detect 20 hostile vessels against us,  and Erasmus Haarlock's Spear of Destiny ! What are your orders ?
-RAMMING SPEED !

final result : 6 slaughts vessels, 4 imperial frigates, 2 imperial cruisers destroyed. Haarlock sent into the warp. 0 losses. Flawless Victory.

Quillwraith:Would you allow me to get Monster Blooded and Monster Hybrid feats so I can multiclass into Aasimar? One of the rules of my monster classes project is that you can't directly mix two monsters since they usually have powerful scaling abilities, so the two feat costs balances it out.

My original plan was cleric dip to get turn undead and fuel stuff like Domain Feats and those Cwarrior feats that boost your combat skill by burning turn atempts, but cleric isn't homebrew so no easy ways to get Turn Undead. Aasimar however allows me to put Charisma to good use in combat, otherwise a Ghaele Eladrin gish isn't really possible as I would have to spread out my stats too much even with the racial bonus.

As for character background, I believe I'll be a Maker's creation that was first created to protect and assist planar wanderers. And two thousand years later, he's still doing his best to follow those orders, even as he saw his brothers and sisters fall to chaos and their own desires when the Makers disapeared. He developed a desire of his own tough: to discover what hapened to the Makers, and if possible to get them to return.

Also, +1 to those general houserules:

After reading the world description, I suddenly find myself interested in this game... despite the fact that I'm already in 2 games using mostly homebrewed material. :P I'm guessing you have enough players already though, right?

So, do we have a definite list of homebrew rules in effect?

OK, I updated Ritual Mage.  Quill, can you vet RM and Thaumaturge, before I go all-out on a build?  Thanks!

So, I will be playing Sublime Shaper with Ziegander's Two-Weapon Fix (Chance to test them out in practice).
Going for two-dagger wielding with Shadow Hand, Thrashing Dragon maneuvers, and Brilliant Dawn, Blustering Gale formulas.
Not sure how it will turn out (not very good at optimizing) but I am going for a sneaky mobile fighter with limited support and battlefield control capabilities.

I'm just going to point out that two-weapon fighting technically prevents you from benefiting from the Sublime Guard ability.
“Hast thou not felt in forest gloom, as gloaming falls on dark-some dells, when comes a whisper, hum and hiss; savage growling sounds a-near, dazzling flashes around thee flicker, whirring waxes and fills thine ears: has thou not felt then grisly horrors that grip thee and hold thee?”

Yes, it's a pity but I will try not to use formulas in melee.
Using formulas mostly for a little buffing before entering the fray and resorting to spellshape attacks only if
my weapons and attacks are ineffectual for some reason

Edit: I am also thinking a Crystal of return in one of the weapons. Enabling me to drop it if I really want to use a formula
in melee.

~Osle with a Ghaele divine gish
~Venn with an Illurien (mostly melee? I can't tell)
~Zieg with a TWFighter
~Sam with a TWF sublime shaper
~Harald with a FLAMEspeaker
~me and littha with who knows
(~schiz with an indigo trickster)
((~fire with a ritual char))
I guess I'll start working up a Thaumaturge/Ritual Mage.  Can you vet those, Quill?

EDIT: And how do you feel about Item Familiars?
Thaumaturge and ritual mage are in.
Item familiars won't give you bonus XP, but you can have one.

The feats and Aasimar are okay with me.

No-one's supposed to know too much about the Makers.
Maybe you were one of the later creations, and didn't return from the plane you were sent to first until after they'd disappeared?

So, do we have a definite list of homebrew rules in effect?
Sirpercival's houserules(except the iterative attack and TWF ones), and this

Okay, basic made-eyed rules.

Made-eyed(trait):
You are descended from humanoids altered by the Makers.

You gain a +4 bonus on spellcraft, use magic device, and knowledge checks related to the Makers and their creations, and can detect hidden planar portals with a successful spot check (DC varies).
You also take a -4 penalty on saves against any magical, supernatural, or spell like abilities of creatures and items created by the Makers, and most NPCs start out with a relationship of acquaintance(negative), due to superstitions about made-eyed.

Some prestige classes and monster classes represent additional made-eyed abilities, and require this trait as a prerequisite.

Looks like there is three people doing TWF and another two some kind of melee. Indigo Tricker is TWF fighter with some skill-monkey characteristic  but still team composition doesn't  feel right.

I started creation of Indigo Tricker but I can start looking for some skill-monkey/divine class.

I think littha was going to play a caster but hadn't decided what sort.
EDIT: and there's the sorcery skill.

I was aiming at using a finesse melee build but I could change to a caster.

My character is sort of a finesse melee character, but is primarily int-based. Trying to build off of that as much as possible (lots of homebrew weapon finesse and zen archery/intuitive strike feats, but very few for Int. Will have to run the ones I've found by Quill).
I might also look into making it more of a dagger-throwing style character, but we'll see. Depends on what I can work out.

Yeah, that was what I had in mind.

My character sheet, mostly done, just some GP left to spend.

I am stuck coming up with a race, as we are playing homebrew I wanted to play something fairly exotic but with the lack of LA buyoff that seems a little optimistic.

Anyone seen a good ECL 1 race. Needs no con or dex penalty and medium size and not being an elf/dwarf. Ideally plant/nature themed.

Dryad + Acorn of Far Travel? :D

The verdant prince also looks quite fun. Name him Tom Bombadil? :P
