"I hope that by vintage you don't simply mean old? I have never met a person who ages the same way as wine,"
:”Although mortals too young have not properly sweetned yet, let it be clarified I mean vintage as quality. I’ve carefully sampled and selected the best crop of mortals in this city.”
"Why thank you for the compliment, miss. I'm sure you used to look absolutely stunning yourself in your livelier days."
:" Oh my, only true flattery from you, as expected of a true angel. We really need to get to know each other better. There’s plenty of nice noble maidens in this town, both lively and like me, that would be just delighted to know you too I know. Perhaps we can arrange a small soiré?"
"Excuse me, do I know you? And the Goddess is wondering what is going on here, she has heard the prayers but hasn't been able to look in."
: ”We’ve never met, but the goddess showed me visions of you doing her good work, Lady Ferrothorn! And Bonnie can still hear us, but we can’t hear her? I knew something was terribly wrong! We must destroy the wards right away!”
:”Now let’s not be too hasty. We put those wards up for a reason in the first place, remember?”
: ”Out of the question. The city wouldn’t last another day.”
The one with the mask is Baron Akhram, the Soulless Mask.
With the spear is Duchess Olifia, the Lighting Blood Lance.
And the one sipping “red wine” is Countess Fuerme, the Crimson Courtier,
Baron Akhram is a vampire at least 600 years old and reported destroyed for good at least four separate times, managing to hide and recover before striking again, last one being shortly after the arrival of Bonnie.
Duchess Olifia she was once a decadent savage vampire for at least 300 years, (un)living in the wilderness whitout a home. dragging her coffin around, hunting any mortals she met, collecting shiny magic treasure.
Countess Fuerme is at least 1200 years old, one of the most ancient vampire names in known existence, usually acting as a death priestess by profession.
From the start Akhram showed little sympathy for the godess’s ideals so when he was forced into the open he used his great diplomacy and manipulation abilities gained from centuries of experience to build his own country where vampires were on top, but mortals still had some rights.
Olifia’s (un)life changed upon her meeting the song of Bonnie. Then she was one of the very first vampire nobles to openly support this new goddess, and has been seeking to do the Bonnie’s work ever since, in particular if it is related to blowing or spearing something up.
Fuerme has shown a remarkable talent for avoiding the spotlight (or any light for the matter) while still enjoying power and status.
The vampire country didn’t last long before the mortals organized a rebellion that ended with Akhram staked in the heart under the burning sun.
Olifia has fought Angels, demons, even other vampires to support Bonnie’s cause with utmost zeal, often up to her destruction. The duchess could be considered a martyr if not for the fact she always comes back.
In particular during Bonnie’s coming, Fuerme played a dangerous game of remaining neutral beween her supporters and detractors, and managed to profit greatly from it.
Although he prefers to ask questions first and can be quite elegant and charming, behind his mask Akhram is a violent beast in all the senses of the word, shifting to a more monstrous shape and tearing directly at his opponents with unholy teeth and claws when forced to fight.
It is not very clear if Bonnie herself has actually bestowed her divine favor upon Olifia. The official church of Bonnie usually prefers to keep a safe distance from the duchess and her fanatic actions.
Fuerme jumps from leader to leader, from faction to faction, offering her services while sucking as much sustenance as she can get away with before moving to another place when she’s about to be exposed. A parasite and not afraid to admit it to close acquaintances, nevertheless Fuerme claims that for a parasite to live well they need a healthy strong host and thus she always make sure to don’t suck them dry while helping them here and there.
Akhram always carries a mask precisely because he has trouble concealing the killing intent in his expressions.
Bonnie has actually singed to Olifia directly in multiple occasions, but the countess seems to have a bit of trouble discerning the goddess’s intentions or plain goes overboard.
Fuerme has personally met Carnelian Blackthorn several times over the centuries, although only in passing, sometimes in the same sides, other times in opposite teams. She’s not one to hold a grudge, but neither loyal to anybody but herself.
With the spear is Duchess Olifia, the Lighting Blood Lance.
Olifia is an adept mistress of the martial and arcane arts, combining spear and spell for devastating effects, favoring the electricity element. Many vampires and even some mortals interested in learning the arcane arts have vowed serviture to the Duchess in return for her tutoring, who grudgingly takes a few at a time to do menial jobs for her.
Duchess Olifia actually always dreamt of being a priestess, but all her attempts at learning divine magic failed miserably. However during her “hunting” activities before meeting Bonnie, she felt a great affinity to the arts used by arcane mages and thus ended up developing in that direction.
