Session 1 & 2

Encounters:
Meeting Ellis and Zenithar (Noncombat)
Alyssa and the wolves - 100 XP
Dire wolf ambush - 100 XP
Rescuing Alyssa - 75 XP

Information
Goodsky. Local merchant with a name that's easy to get wrong. Zeni claimed room and board at his house and ended up leading us right into the werewolf's den. Incidentally, he's a werewolf.
Zenithar, also known as Zeni. Mage, self-professedly not a sage. Seems like the kind who barks but doesn't bite. Pretty powerful.
Ellis. Has crossbows and good aim. Seems reliable and competent. Should ask for help about the bugs.
Alyssa. Can shoot magic and teleport, apparently. Supposedly here to save a farmer's granddaughter.
Goodsky seems to keep wolves on his estate? They come out at night to terrorize the town.

Loot
Party formed.
Silver-coated the staff and several of Ellis's bolts.
A torch from the house.
Did I spot Zeni stealing silk panties?

Expended
Several silver pieces.
The estate's garden (now on fire).
Alyssa: Three hit dice (short rest), now at 12 hp.
Lien: Two hit dice (short rest).
Ellis: A bunch of crossbow bolts?
Zeni: One 1st-level spell.

Experience
Level 3 - 900+175/2,700

Session 3

Encounters:
Goodsky - 175 XP
Wolves and Beetles - 175 XP

Information
Two months back, Goodsky went out for a hunting trip and came back weird. After that, some of his servants started disappearing. I imagine he started holding pet wolves around that time.
After he died, beetles started pouring out of a tear in Goodsky's neck, which was mended by spiders. There was a fang lodged in his neck, too. Looks like a normal wolf fang, probably from the werewolf who bit him, but the beetles wanted it for some reason.
Found a well-hidden laboratory behind Goodsky's bedroom. Apparently, he was interested in alchemy?
-He had to have been using it well before he became a werewolf. Apparently skilled enough to make magical potions.
He was also a monster. Won't be missed.
-Also skilled enough to cut up maids and preserve their body parts for who knows what purposes. I sure don't want to. He seems to have started doing this only after being bitten.
zeni is a thieving bitch tell everyone
zeni has terrible taste

Loot
Gold:
-A fused lump in the attic, formerly 40gp, now worth half that unless somehow restored.
-100gp in the study.
Gems (value unknown):
-Blue gemstone.
-Two yellowish gemstones.
-White, brown, and blue gemstone.
-White gemstone.
All the drugs you'd want. Hallucinogens, stimulants...
-Worth some 20-50gp total on the black market. I don't think I want to sell these to the next best shady guy, though.
-Ingredients can be used to produce two doses of knockoff malice [Inhaled, DC 15 Con or poisoned and blinded for 1 hour. Causes vivid hallucinations rather than blindness, but net effect is the same], one dose of oil of taggit [Contact, DC 13 Con or poisoned and unconscious for 24 hours], and 5-6 blinding bombs [100% chance of causing DC 10 Dex or blinded for one round if thrown into fire, 50% chance of the same if just thrown].
Several bottles of brandy and wine.
Fire-oil - keep out of Zeni's hands at all costs. [Thrown, range 20/50 ft., 5d10 fire in 20 ft. blast radius, enclosed area doubles effective radius. DC 13 Dex save half, no save for target hit by bottle]
Love potion. [Philter of Love: Drinker is charmed for one hour by next person seen withing 10 minutes]
Potion of water breathing. [Breathe underwater for one hour]
Distilled dragon's blood. [Potion of Fire Breath: Allows breathing fire as a bonus action at one target in 30ft, 4d6 fire, DC 13 Dex save half. Breathe three times or until one hour passes]
Displacer skin powder. [Dust of Disappearance: Throw in the air to make everyone within 10ft invisible for 2d4 rounds]
Wolf fang (?).
Live, hand-sized scarab beetle in a jar. Empty jar.
Zeni: Inspiration.

Expended
Lots of furniture and tapestry.
Alyssa: Two spell slots, 8 temp hit points, 1 actual hit point.
Lien: 8 hp, 2 ki points, Inspiration.
Ellis: A bunch of crossbow bolts, four superiority dice, a few scratches (like 12 hp).
Zeni: One first-level spell, two second-level.

Experience

Session 4

Encounters:
AAA WOLVES FUCK FUCK WOLVES FUCK - 180 XP

Information
What Goodsky was looking for when he went out and came back a werewolf was something called the vault of the wolf. He wanted to take samples from or capture its guardian to improve his creations.
Presumably, the recovered bit of fang comes from said guardian.
The vault of the wolf is somewhere in the woods, a fair distance away, exact location unknown.
Down in the basement, Goodsky experimented with altering animals. The experiments from before his lycanthropy are decidedly more sane. We put most of them down.
-Crazy Goodsky apparently thought it was a great idea to just stitch potions and scrolls into animals and hope they'd go off by themselves.
Goodsky's lab notes:
Quote
(11:42:09) Veekie: it's mainly a list of materials and reagents that you can't understand(and is probably worth a pretty penny to someone in the right business), but the animal listings from about two months ago indicate that he was somewhere in a set of land near elven territory to the east, listed locations include: Brightstone Valley, Echo Grotto, and Nettlebloom City(elven)
(11:42:22) Veekie: none corresponding to a wolf, but probably near those areas

Loot
From the kitchen:
-Lots of salt.
-Bag of cinnamon, hogged by Zeni (worth 5 gp).
-Enough ham to feed thirty people for a week (to be donated to bereaved families).
-Honey and spices worth 200 gp in total (to be donated in part).
From the basement:
-Sack with 500 sp, under which Ellis was buried.
-Booklet with densely scribbled notes.
-Four bloodstained gems.
-Four potions of healing [Drink to recover 2d4+2 hp].
-Scroll of Shocking Grasp.
-Scroll of Find Familiar.
Recovered animals:
-Rabbit with improved meat to feed ratio.
-Cat with the personality of a puppy.
-"Talking" raven with enhanced memory.
[Offscreen] Plundering the garage:
-20 gp.
-100 sp.
-1000 cp.
-One carriage and two wagons, but no horses.
[Offscreen] Picking herbs:
-Ingredients for four potions of healing.
-Ingredients for eight doses of tea that eliminates need to sleep.

Expended
Alyssa: 8 temp hit points, 3 actual hit points.
Lien: 10 hp, 1 ki point, potion of fire breathing.
Ellis: 27 hit points.
Zeni: One first-level spell, Inspiration, several white hairs.

Experience

Session 6

Encounters:
Chase (Taxmen) - 50 XP
Chase (Bear) - 50 XP
Gnoll highwaymen - 125 XP
Fang of Yeenoghu - 275 XP

Information
The taxman now knows some guys burned down Goodsky's manor. Chances are the deaths of the pursuers are on our heads, too, even though it was the bear (and Zeni).
Our next stop is Nettlebloom City.

Loot
2300 cp
1300 sp
70 gp
Nine gems.
A sword that can catch on fire. Are we really sure it won't eat anyone?
Quote
Last Blood
Flame Tongue Scimitar, Requires Attunement.
Appearance: A blood red uneven curved blade that looks like a frozen splash, with a dark ivory hilt, with a guard in the shape of teeth facing outwards, carved with scenes of slaughter for the grip.
Power: On the command word "Blood to ash" in Abyssal as a bonus action, the blade erupts into flames that shed bright light in a 100ft radius and dim light for an additional 100ft. While it's ablaze, it deals an extra 2d6 fire damage to any target it hits. The flames last until you use a bonus action to speak the command word again or until you drop or sheathe the sword.
Minor property: As a bonus action of mental concentration and the item sheds bright light in a 10ft radius and dim light for an additional 10ft.
Quirk: The This item's magical properties function only if fresh blood from a humanoid has been applied to it within the past 24 hours. It needs only a drop to activate.
Last Blood is now wielded by Alyssa on the basis that she can't get any more damned.
The inscription on the altar we found Last Blood on:
Quote
The slab of altar stone is carved deeply with channels, reading in the Abyssal tongue:
Glory to the king of slaughter.
Praise to the blood bringer.
Dance for the scarlet rain.

Fire poured from heart of greatness.
Light quenched within deepest night.
Soul seized by rending claws.

Forge the bane upon a pyre of the pure
Bath the king's blade with the blood of kings.
By the chosen's might, all shadows fled.
Let's try to not stab any nobility with the thing. Just in case.

Expended
Taxmen: Mauled by bear.
Bear: Mauled by us.
Fire-oil: On the Fang. Good riddance on both counts.

Session 7

Encounters:
Ghastly Gnolls - 225 XP
Veekie has disconnected - 0 XP

Information
Yeenoghu is also patron of ghouls and ghasts. Remember to cremate corpses next time.
Arrived at the town of Oakbridge.
Oakbridge's gate guards suggested the Weaver temple or one Mistress Knots to see about the carriage's upholstery and new clothes for Zeni. Mistress Knots is supposed to have "that poofy elf crap". A carpenter by the name of Cribbins near the black temple does woodwork.
Zeni is a master of the art of hobo fighting.
There appears to be a thieves' guild active in Oakbridge.
The funeral for veekie's internet connection is next Sunday. Bring flowers.

Loot
A ghast head in Zeni's lap.

Expended
A ghast head in Zeni's lap (immediately discarded).

Session 8

Encounters:
Wannabe Thief
Yeenoghu Cultist - 125 XP
You Can (Not) Connect - 0 XP

Information
Random cultist attack in the street!
Lien is really good at foot chases.
The local beggars are athletic prodigies. Or perhaps contrivances of the chase system.
Next session probably on Rizon instead.

Loot
One (1) bound, gagged, and cleaned cultist.
Lots of knives, garottes, and lockpicks.
Two bottles of clear liquid. Looks like acid.
Three "Foul-smelling bits of leather and fur". Two of them seem to be holy symbols of Yeenoghu, the third's just a squashed rat.
One jagged flint blade. Probably sacrifical.
Lien: Inspiration.

Expended
Lien: 2 ki points, one coin (gold).
Alyssa: One spell slot.
Cultist: Dignity, sense of worth, freedom.
Beggar: A new life?

Session 9

Encounters:
Zilch, I guess
(Veekie's connection: Still shit)

Information
The Yeenoghu cultist goes by the name of Ezek Tanner, who's not known to practice magic. Small surprise, there. The town guard have him under custody, but without actual evidence of his crimes he'll be let free sooner or later.
The Weavers run the local criminal underworld, and Ellis found an in with them. Alyssa doesn't get it.
The First Weaver, high priestess of the Weaver Temple, isn't herself involved with the criminal side.
In the last two weeks, various townsfolk who aren't likely to be noticed have been involved in "accidents" and replaced, presumably by plants. The cult of Yeenoghu is probably behind this, but there are fewer killers than there are plants.
Ellis and Zeni are trying to get paid for getting rid of the subversive cultists. Of course they are.

Loot
Nothing much.

Expended
Blades, ritual knife, and lockpicks confiscated by town guard.

Experience
Level 3 - 2455+/2,700

Session 10

Encounters:
Gib XP Pls
Meeting the First Weaver
Zeni: Don't Lose Your Waayyyy

Information
The First Weaver confirmed knowing about the spiders and the beetles. The spiders are called Custodians; "They preserve the lines that run between the anchors." The beetles are "curators of the Scrollery", the Scrollery apparently being basically history. They should not be out in the world, so something is wrong.
The fang splinter does not come from a werewolf, but from something supposedly older. It's possible the beetles were trying to retrieve it because that's in their nature.
For all the trouble, the First Weaver helped a lot. Need to figure out what she means by blood of three greats and the rainbow in a stone the road of crystal and gold.
According to the First Weaver, Last Blood is a sacrifical tool. All whose blood mingles with it become prey for the Wild Hunt, which the sword summons once the conditions are met. The poem presumably provides the clue to those conditions.
Besides the Weaver, the major faiths operating in town are the Black Lord, Elinah, the Beastlord/Yeenoghu, Mother Maya, and Ichal.
-Yeenoghu under the name of the Beastlord is also a legitimate religion. He's worshipped by hunters and propitiated by foresters and other woodsmen.
-The Black Lord is god of the dead.
-Elinah is actually fae. She presides over art, the forest, and water.
-Mother Maya was or is a famous healer around whom a hero cult has grown up. She may or may not still be around, but her followers dress like her, imitate her actions, and take on her name.
-Ichal, also known as the golden lord, upholds the ideals of "might and beauty makes right", in the First Weaver's words. His followers are monster slayers, and Alyssa has been recommended to stay far away from them. Reading between the lines, they're probably fairly intolerant of blasphemy.

Loot
Zeni: No fancy regenerating dress.

Expended
First Weaver: Patience, quite nearly.
Lien: Inspiration

Session 11

Encounters:
lol

Information
Common sense is a scarce resource.
The gate guards indicate that the force which conscripted Alyssa's brothers may have moved through Oakbridge at some point. They were kept off the records because the elves are not to know about them, for some reason.
The innkeep at the Smoking Charger hinted at the force being headed for Elderwood, a small village on the border to elf territory. A minor detour from where we're going anyway.
Elderwood wine is a regional wine brewed from herbs and wild fruits, extremely sweet, and supposedly good for your health. It is not related to the village of Elderwood, however.

Loot
Zeni: A black dress with a red-hooded cloak. Close-fitting on the torso, upper arms, and waist, flaring out in the sleeves and skirts. Trimmed in orange and red flame patterns rising from the skirt and descending down the sleeves.
Ellis: A dark blue dress with white lace, much lighter than it looks. Contains many, many hidden sheathes and pockets. Comes with a silvery fur coat.
Lien: A close-fitting, light green, short-sleeved tunic with a very short skirt and leggings. Patterned with leaves and flowers in darker thread. Comes with a long brown leather coat with vine embroidery spiraling around it.
Alyssa: A short-sleeved pink shirt with a knee-length skirt decorated with crystals sewn into the edges. Comes with a red hooded cloak and a leather belt. Cloth is tougher than it looks, about as tough as leather. Resists cuts and blood doesn't stick to it. [Effectively leather armor, but redundant with Alyssa's Mage Armor]

Expended
Some drinking money.
Veekie's sessionly "this is a terrible idea" warning, several sessions' worth.

Experience

Session 12

Encounters:
Barlgura - 450 XP
Tanner and the cultists - 175 XP

Information
Staked out and watched the local prison for cultists breaking Tanner out. Had an eye on the back entrance and a suspicious stack of crates, but they ended up going in the front door while Zeni was distracted.
The cultists slaughtered the guards and prisoners without anyone noticing until it was too late, and used the sacrifices to summon a demon before trying to abscond with the freed Tanner.
-Barlgura: Giant, red-furred ape demon. Do not engage hand to hand without a good plan. Resistant to fire, cold, and lightning, immune to poison, hard to kill. But not impossible.
The troop freeing Tanner consisted of six rank and file cultists and two sorcerers. The last two and one of the former escaped, all others killed.

Loot
A patch of fur from the barlugra, seems to be very spacious on the inside. Worried it might try to eat Zeni. [Bag of holding.]
-Very fluffy and stain-resistant.
Barlgura skull and spine, worth 250gp each, several lumps of unidentifiable bones (two big, nine small). I'm not sure the kind of person who would want to buy demon skulls is the kind of person you'd want to sell them to.
-Large bones can be ground to mix potions of growth, hill giant strength, or poison.
-Small bones can be ground into dust of disappearance (four lumps for one dose), or made into a paste to ward off heat and cold, or into poison.
-The bones can also be made into incense for summoning demons, but.
-According to Ellis, the spine can be used to make magic staves, or the nerves can be turned into bowstrings.

Expended
Town: Prison system controversy, now moot for a while.
Party: lots of stuff but presumably we get to rest anyway so w/e

Session 13

Encounters:
Trading with Thilfar (noncombat)

Information
The priests of the Black Lord worship Death in its neutral aspect and pull double-duty as embalmers. They also like building their temples to be spooky.
-One of the faith's core tenets is that deal-breaking is a Bad Thing.
For future reference: Symbols consisting of a weapon in a circle identify someone as a killer.
The (head?) priest at the Black Temple is Thilfar of the Thirteen Endings, an assassin famous for artistic kills and clean getaways who supposedly died ten years back.
The 'blood of greats' the First Weaver mentioned would come from demons, devils, dragons, great beasts, or royalty, all of sufficient power.
-Specifically, Type 4 demons, greater devils, adult (or older) dragons, great beasts (if there's any doubt, it's not Great), and crowned and reigning kings.

Loot
Three bolts of slaying, keyed to demons, dragons, and (distressingly) angels.
The party's new outfits.
A black, gold, and crimson coat of paint for the carriage, as well as repairs and new upholstery.
Close to two miles of nearly unbreakable and uncuttable thread.
-Burns pretty easily, though.

Expended
A night's worth of inn fees.
The barlgura skull.
-Zeni's hopes of ever getting a staff.
100gp worth of magic item identification fees.
Dress and carriage expenses (20gp for Zeni's dress, 15 for everyone else's, 5g for carriages).

Session 14

Encounters:
Am-BUSH this joke has been beat into the ground so hard it's come out the other side - 450 XP
Flowery campsite

Information
Investigated a campsite outside Oakbridge and found a canteen with Fieldings booze and a piece of a map, confirming that Alyssa's brothers are with this army and giving us their destination.
-The endpoint indicated on the map piece is a bit of forest that's supposed to be empty, about a mile from Elderwood.
The woods here seem to belong to Elinah, which means the army that was trying to set up a surprise maneuver isn't being very surprising.
-Discovered another campsite with several corpses shallowly buried under a bed of flowers. The sprites tending the garden seem to have killed them for trampling their flowers and used them as fertilizer for new ones.
-They allowed us to rest there peacefully, so long as we don't harm the trees or flowers.

Loot
A gnarled, dirty root, animating core of a shambling mound. Can be mixed with 50gp's worth of mandrake and boiled to produce four potions of superior healing.
Small demon bones processed into two applications of dust of disappearance and one of heat and cold-warding paste.

Expended
Full rest lul

Session 15

Encounters:
A rocky experience - 450 XP
A staff and two orbs (noncombat)

Information
Fairies left skinned rabbits, berries, and alcohol as presents. Left honey, bread, and cheese in return.
-The alcohol turned out to be the Fielding family brew, undiluted. It seems Alyssa's brothers got around becoming fertilizer by being pressganged to make booze for the fey instead.
Saw a bush hugging a skeleton in a tree. Bizarre.
More importantly, found several gargoyles half-buried, only their animating runes visible. Just kind of hanging out?
Zeni's magic has gone wrong.
-Horribly, horribly wrong.
Found an ancient, crumbling temple. Were the gargoyles guarding it?
-Ellis says they likely worshipped an angel outright.
-Two old bronze crowns and a pristine staff were the only intact things left in the temple.

Loot
Two tarnished bronze crowns, worth 250gp each.
Winged striking staff.

Session 16

Encounters:
Scouts - 305 XP

Information
Ran into a scout party from our army. They confirmed the army has been stuck in the forest for months, being toyed with by the fey.
-The Fieldings brothers, as well as anyone with the talent to entertain for that matter, have been kidnapped by the same.
-The scouts, meanwhile, wouldn't listen to well-meaning advice.

Loot
Lien: Now attuned to the staff, probably. Its origins are still unknown, as nobody here speaks Celestial.
Quote
(14:59:16) veekiemobile: origin wise, you can't get a definitive link but you can recognize that the feathers are written in celestial, with some patterns matching the symbolism of separation between the divine and the mortal world
Quote
(22:01:03) veekiemobile: lightning is the sphere end
(22:01:08) veekiemobile: thunder the flat end
(22:02:28) veekiemobile: lightning bolt a twirl and a sweep, it shoots when you stop the sweep
(22:02:49) veekiemobile: thunderclap, smash the flat end to the floor
(22:04:19) veekiemobile: finally, thunder and lightning is a figure eight spin and thrust
(22:04:30) veekiemobile: end staff manual

Expended
Zeni: Will to live, again.
Alyssa: Some moonshine, as proof of providence.

Session 17

Encounters:
Dragon and Banshee Shouting Match, With Guest Appearance by the PCs - 1,000 XP

Information
Found an abandoned boat with a dwarf skeleton inside it by the river. Decided to leave it alone.
Camped at a fork in the river.
The campsite turned out to be haunted by a banshee, by the name of Ilytheen. It seems her lover left her for another, and a dragon stole a gift of his from her.
-Zeni seduced her by posing as a little boy.
--It made exactly as much sense in the moment as it does in retrospect.
-After being pacified, Ilytheen asked us to find the lair of the dragon who stole her trinket. We did, and killed it with her help.
Ilytheen passed on after recovering her gift.

oh god Loot

Session 18

Encounters:
Magical Realm Intensifies - 8*200/4, 400 XP
Ineffective Nymph Luring - Noncombat
Effective Nymph Luring - (200*2+400)/4, 200 XP

Information
-Another trip will be necessary to grab the remaining silver and some more dragon bone and hide/scales.
-Alyssa's brothers are alive and well and very happy and not charmed in any way what-so-ever.
--They'll be released with sufficient payment for their services after a year and a day.
---This side trip has been entirely pointless.  At least we found the dragon and its hoard.
-Nymphs can be invisible when wet, have blinding beauty, and have a charm that only works on those attracted to women.
-Giant toads are nommy assholes and are apparently more dangerous than a young black dragon.

-Dragon loot uses:
--Tendons or tough braided muscle:
---Bowstrings that improve range by 1.5x or improve damage by +2.  Probably good to have both crafted and possibly swap if ever needed.
---Component for +1 weapons and armor, strength potions.
--Steak/Jerky: +2 str for one day when consumed.
--Dragon's Last Blood:
---Can use it mixed with foxglove and vervain to poison a small lake for a week, or use it as the crafting base for any uncommon water, acid or plant affinity magic items, provided they are largely made of wood or animal materials.
---Use on carriage to grant it and the horses water walking.
--Dragon's Heart: In general just makes anything it's used with more potent.
--Dragon's Blood:
---Drug that bestows +4 Str and Cha, -4 Wis and Int, violent hallucinations, megalomania, kleptomania and increased aggression.
---Mix paste with flower oils:  Go without sleep and see in the dark for a day, smoked.  Violent hallucinations, megalomania, kleptomania and increased aggression.
---Mix with alcohol: +4 Str and Con for an hour.  Violent hallucinations, megalomania, kleptomania, increased aggression, and drunk.
---Mix 2 paste with gall stone and viper venom: Resistance to acid, turn bodily fluids to acid for a day.
--Spine:
---Staff component.
---Golems and enchanted architecture component.
---Undead horrors.
---Unbreakable dragon carriage of awesome, when used with hide and more bones.  Like, all the bones.
--Breath Gland:
---Throw like a grenade to do breath damage, x2 on direct hit.
---Component for acid enchant on items and for chimera making.
---Could conceivably be eaten for a breath weapon at the risk of taking full damage.  Let's not risk it.
----Buffing up absurdly till capable of consuming this is an option, an insanely dumb one, but!
---Alchemical food to acid converter, not for combat use.
----Acid is used for purifying adamantine ore.
--Liver:  Mixed with healing, cure poison and cure disease potions, gives you the ability to digest most things, resistance to all ingested damage sources, advantage on ingested poisons and disease vectors and the ability to drink fouled water, rotten plants and meat without ill effect.  For a month.  Permanently if combined with the Dragon's Heart.
--Skull:
---Armor crafting component.
---Focus for a bunch of nasty necromatic rituals.
---Usable for fear enchantment if left intact for a vehicle mounted aura of fear.
---Golem artistry.
---Large shield conversion, grants the bearer acid resistance and deals extra damage on bash, one size up.

Loot
All treasure, platinum, gold and half the silver, safely in the bag of holding.
Dragon skull, jerky, tendons, blood, last blood, heart, gland, some hide, spine, stowed on the horses.

Expended
Lien: ? hp, ? ki points, lightning staff pikachu, any of Zeni's budding admiration for her.  Zeni's not alpha striking to save her again!
Ellis: 2? superiority dice.
Alyssa: ? hp, 2 spell slots, ~5 50gp gems FROM HER OWN POCKET. |<  A dose of ZENI'S concentrated dragon blood.
Zeni: 12 hp, 2 2nd-level spell slot, 2 1st-level spell slots, 2 sorcery points, inspiration.

Session 19

Encounters:
Justicar Lorakh

Information
Left most of the dragon meat with the army so we could take everything else to the carriage in a single trip. Their gratitude was overwhelming.
Ambushed by a paladin named Justicar Lorakh. He was after Zeni and Ellis specifically, but targeted Alyssa for her possession of Last Blood too.
-A fanatic with tunnel vision.
-Alyssa delivered the death blow with Last Blood. Can we please not kill paladins with the demon sword?
-His corpse burned white and was absorbed by Last Blood. That can't be good.

Loot
Lorakh had full plate and an ax, I guess.

Expended
Lots, but we're resting!
Lien: Inspiration.
Ellis: Inspiration.

Session 20

Encounters
Goblin bandits - 150 XP
Elf sentry (noncombat)

Information
The elves are perfectly aware of the human wannabe invasion force, and most definitely colluded with the fey to trap them.
The critter that turned Goodsky into a werewolf is no secret among the elves. Name the Vault of Beasts and offer money and we'll get plenty of "foolish youths" leading the way.
Alyssa read the staff's inscriptions with the Comprehend Languages scroll.
Quote
(15:37:06) [DM]: Left wing
(15:37:06) [DM]: By the compact of ancient times
(15:37:06) [DM]: The gates of heavens ring shut
(15:37:06) [DM]: The gods defy the balance
(15:37:06) [DM]: Right wing
(15:37:06) [DM]: By the chains of destiny's bind
(15:37:07) [DM]: The gates of hell slam close
(15:37:07) [DM]: The fiends enforce the pacts
(15:37:08) [DM]: Staff
(15:37:09) [DM]: The breakers of balance confined
(15:37:09) [DM]: The fivefold door thunders
(15:37:10) [DM]: The bridge of realms burn white
(15:37:11) [DM]: Orb base
(15:37:13) [DM]: The celestial sphere reflected, the path clouded.
It's called a celestial spindle, and it will glow in the presence of divine avatars, blessings, and other methods of divine intervention (but does not give any special power against them, besides its inherent power).

Loot
Zeni: Sick burns.
Lien: A sense of satisfaction.

Expended
Alyssa: 1 spell slot
Zeni: 2 1st-level spell slots.
