I'm getting a different tattoo before I get my guitars tattooed (not guitars...each one is named, and one of them is no longer in existence, so will be very undead looking...Demona, Circe, Artemis, Hela, and Lillith respectively).  After what happened the beginning of the year and the place I've come out of, I will be getting a semicolon tattoo (I would say to match my daughter's, but mine will be a little more).

The top will be made to look like a crashing wave on the ocean, with the "comma" part looking like a pendulum blade, with the text "You have such oceans within" below.  All of it has very personal meaning, and this one will be on my inner forearm, where it will be readily visible.

Other than my own personal experience down that road, I have just recently lost two friends in the past two years to suicide.

Apologies in advance for the disjointed nature of this post...not my usual fare, but kinda still tired from work and it goes without saying there's a lot more to it than just the above.

For what it's worth, I have a bunch of hugs just waiting on you here.  :lovefirefox

Nanashi follows after the group as well, trying to keep an eye out for trouble.

He trusted Gwydion's skill, but who knows how old that data was? Some of it may be incorrect after all.

...does your local insane asylum double as a HR recruitment agency? Because that is the only explanation I can find for how easily everyone you work with loses their shit...

"Alright, I trust your judgement on that, though we're kind of screwed for an exit strategy then... We'll have to figure something out on the way up. Let's get going." Nanashi said, ready to bolt.

"Smokey, do you have a route for us?"

"Well it was a nuisance and a half to get this much up and running, but on the flipside that means there's probably no surveillance or autonomous defense, right? If we're discreet we might just be able to get up there, snatch whatever's in and get out. No electricity means no elevators, which leaves the service stairs, those are probably going to be guarded. Any ideas?"

Meanwhile, Nanashi kept lookout as promised, trying to mind every entrance and exit out of this room.

"How does it look, Smokey? Any luck?"

That is absolutely fucked up.

What can be done about it?

Different people have different opinions on this and none of us are going to change each other's minds.

I think this sums up the issue nicely.

But any manager with half a brain would look into it. If it happened, they have to look after their employee. If it didn't, having rumors like those floating around is bad business.

The client employees at the new job are sexually harassing my coworker.

Unless you witness it personally, it didn't happen. It's best to stay out of other people's issues.
Eh, I get where you're coming from, but I think an investigation would be warranted anyway. If nothing else because assuming either way is dangerous. Sexual harrassment is an incredibly serious issue and just bringing up the possibility can break someone's carreer, but by the same token if it is happening it opens them up to serious repercussion, not to mention how freakin' horrible sexual harrassment is in and of itself.

May I suggest you tourniquet it first. It's an area with a hell of a lot of bloodflow and you don't want it spilling all over you.

"We should set up a perimeter... Smokey, think you can make sense of what you need to do here? If anyone else has a flashlight, now's a good time to speak up."

Getting seriously fucking tired of double standards in my life.

Huh. As it turns out, Nanashi DOES have a flashlight... who knew.

"So it looks like we're headed somewhere dark, cramped and dangerous. Add a couple bottles of booze and some bad music and we have Rave Tuesdays."

"Your funeral..."

Nanashi walks right in like he knows what he's getting into (he doesn't), which someone might mistake for walking like he owns the place (he does not) or like he's thinking the world of himself (he isn't).

Now, he doesn't expect someone to be running an actual reception desk, so he looks for someone he can talk to.

"I was actually thinking this place might have a network that could, you know, provide us with a map." Nanashi retorted.

"We can call charming the lobby 'plan B'."

"The way I figure, the lockboxes are probably in the easiest part of the structure to secure... but it still needs access. So probably on the first basement."

Nanashi shrugged. "Fair enough. I say we avoid stepping into the circle. If this is a wake, far be it from me to intrude upon its space."

Of course not. That is clearly a stealth ops plan.

Designed by flashy people who rent a clown car.
