Olebac Vermelha started as a space salvager, gathering the scraps of orbital conflicts and trading them for a living. This line of work often got her in conflict with all sorts of nasty people after the same scraps like pirates, the organizations to which the units belonged to before being turned into scrap, the organizations that turned them into scrap, and other salvagers. Proving quite adept at space combat, Olebac Vermelha eventually started being offered work as a corsair with the bonus of keeping more scrap which she then could sell, until meeting Nei. Hired by rival pirates to take her down, Olebac Vermelha was soundly trashed by the newearl, but was surprised when Nei let her keep not only her life but even something more valuable to the salvager, her mecha’s scrap, where before defeat would demand finding a completely new ride. Olebac Vermelha professed her loyalty to Nei right there and then and has fought at her orders ever since.

Olebac Vermelha can see treasure where others see trash, possessing a natural talent to find the best bits to take from battlefields and ruins, which combined with her strong piloting skills has made her one of Nei’s most trusted companions. So far she’s seen well through our deliberate attempts to underpay what they bring us, handle with care.

Nei crew’s main cook , ex-worker for Naula Bakery, decided that becoming a pirate would be a safer lifestyle in particular after Nei cleared the monsters that were besieging his shop trying to get the sweets he was supposed to sell, but instead offered to his rescuers. Which was a grave breach of contract for Naula Bakery who put a bounty on his head so basically Nei’s offering him protection while he can satisfy her stomach.

Odaetnep Azul can be often found in the frontlines scouting for any possible new ingredients for his recipes. Has successfully infiltrated the cooking underground circuits of Ragol and even managed to impress several eternal personalities.

The legendary beta Newearl, a golden opportunity has landed at our feet in form of an original specimen. Not even one of the NM-3000, NM-2000 or NM-1000 series produced by Gene, but the first result of the first Newearl’s ability to self-clone. As detailed in archives 2137-871048, this proccess is a lot more efficient and faster than any alternatives in existence and could revolutionize the market if we fully understood it and would allow Chalybus to become a major player in Ragol. However several quirks remain to be solved, in particular the lack of a reliable way to control them.

So far Nei’s current contract consists of providing assorted mechanical salvage and conducting disruptive raids at Immortal Steel operations in return for grade VIII cloning-ressurection of individuals of her choosing who so far seems rather unremarkable. Profits have been quite good so far and we look forward to more work with her crew even when not taking in account the opportunity to gather more of her personal data.

However signs of her “sisters” (at the lack of a better designation for their ability to auto-clone themselves) have been confirmed in Ragol recently. Their genetic marks are virtually identical and could easily disguise as each other if they so decided, even to close ones such as family and lovers, but their minds turned quite different.

The beach cloning factory is maintained and controlled by Ancient Armor Chalybus, demanding a pair of pilots with deeply sycnhronized minds to properly direct. Thus since its construction, the factory has changed sides multiple times depending on who pilots Chalybus, swapping hands between virtually every major and minor group. often violently although sometimes peacefully when the pilots somehow passed away and a group had no proper pair to replace them.

The last succession was particularly tricky with a tournament organized between battle couples to try to determine who inher Chalybus. Daniel Salgadinho and Vanessa Salgadinho managed to beat the odds as a black horse from ARKAS and soon declared their independence in return for partial protection from the other major players in Ragol.

In a neverending honeymoon of their own, Daniel Salgadinho and Vanessa Salgadinho protect their cloning factory business in more ways than one both leading cloned troops into battle as well as seeking the best business opportunities and have diversified with the production of mass-produced mecha models.
Valsione-M

For the last 179 cycles in the top 3 of Chalybus best sellers, based in the Valsione model, those units are crewed by organic pilots with quite similar specs just in a smaller scale for greater compatibility in a next-generation project where the theory is that making the pilot and machine as much alike as possible then there will be more efficiency. Unlike the original Valsione, the Valsione-M is crewed by cybernewtypes that allow them to use funnels available in different types depending of specifications.

They serve loyally and cheerfully, but being assigned to the main factory garrison was less for their combat efficienty but more as a way of marketing them.

A pirate captain, most of Tyler’s crew retired into an ice planet where they founded a city in his name, but he ended up returning to space longing for a return to piracy, not really being one to settle down.

Most of his body has been replaced by cybernetics that in turn directly connect to his battleship and currently work as a direct extension of his body, to the point Tyler himself would be probably completely defenseless if removed from inside her.

Once an oilthirsty marauder that attacked when he saw an opportunity, Tyler nowadays focus almost exclusively on attacking “evil” targets such as greedy corporations and opressive governments, although often ends up causing quite a bit of collateral damage, the reason why Nei prefers to have him hang quite in the back and stick to providing backup or a last resort trump card.
Lena No Satera

Princess of the Satera Kingdom, she was planned to marry an heroic prince when he fell head over heels for some new exotic princess. Still Lena is a woman with a good heart and held no grudge, even helping the prince when he got himself in prison. Remaining single, she decided to travel the stars and ended up meeting with Nei, upon which she decided to be “kidnapped” by the newearl pirate for the fun of it. Most people who know Lena exists think she’s a prisioner/hostage, but close observation shows she’s a willing member and has the respect and camaraderie of the other pirates.

Although not the most proficient of combatants, Lena shows great skill for business and politics, having helped cover Nei’s trails and setting her up with safe havens and good business opportunities for their loot. Also a somewhat devout follower of the Church of Light, makes sure the crew never gets too drunk.

When not playing pirate princess, Lena enjoys breeding biomonsters, in particular rappies. Although some may consider her a casual amateur and she sticks to more artesanal methods, her results are competitive with Chalybus top products. Offers to recruit her have failed so far.
Siren Type 0899

An Orakian combat android that seeked revenge against Layans for banishing her to the distant satellite, Azura. Was programmed to serve Orakio and fight against Layans during the Laya-Orakio war, and she intended to do just that even after the war has ended. Because of her dangerous personality, she was banished by Laya herself to the Azura satellite for generations. This solitary confinement left Siren with a seething rage in which she swore revenge against all Layans.
Although vengeful, she is not without reason. When she learned the error of his ways upon visiting Sage Isle, Siren felt remorse for her past actions. After expressing that she was sorry to the third generation hero, she reasoned that the only thing left to do was to shut down now that her purpose for existing was fulfilled, but Tyler and Lena managed to activate Siren again to help them.

Despite the Orakio people being long gone, their technology remains scattered across Ragol and has been integrated in several key systems including even components of DAUGHTER. As Siren posssesses the data of numerous bypass codes and backdoors, that gives her an unparalled ability to act in Ragol. Attempts to hack Siren’s own security knowledge have however proven negative so far.

Siren’s hobby is wholesale slaughter and that’s why Siren is usually kept inside the mostly automated battleship with just access to support tools.

Isabela Rio and Layana Rio

Two senior members of the Synthetic Hierarchy Improved Neo Impact Geared Advanced Mind Initiative, which was created before ARKAS as a contigency against the rise of the eternals, possessing both and exceptional ability to navigate between the quantic hyperspace routes being developed inside Ragol to tackle space problems. However the Synthetic Hierarchy Improved Neo Impact Geared Advanced Mind Initiative ended up negotiating with the eternals instead of stopping them and mostly joined their cause. They technically became neutral, but made life for the living that much harder while offering all sorts of services and benefits to the eternals. Currently they still remain the best at navigating between the quantic hyperspace routes inside Ragol, but charge premium prices for doing so, and make existence hell for any competitors. Dangerous to negotiate with, even more dangerous to refuse to do so.

Lune Zondark and Valsione

Lune Zondark is the only descendant of the founder of the Divine Crusaders, a group originally created to try to unite Ragol under a single leader just before the eternal revolution. They fell apart when Lune’s father was deleted in combat and Lune herself joined the enemy in the basis that if you can’t beat them, join them. However, the Divine Crusaders remants instead went into hiding to rebuild into new organizations such as the Neo Divine Crusaders and the Neu Neo Divine Crusaders, although they often did so by allying with all sorts of criminals, terrorrists and even aliens. Although Lune has finally taken the mantle of leadership to try to redeem and re-united the remants as the NNNDC, she soon faced dissent and is currently facing an internal struggle inside the NNNDC from a cadre of radical officers branding her as a traitor that not only fight her but launch their own operations under the flag of the NNNDC.

Valsione is Lune’s mecha, an heavily customized Valsion chassis, in particular a malleable face plate originally coded to reflect Lune’s own expressions when piloting. There are records that 21% of the Divine Crusaders budget went into making this happen in the last days before they declared war on the rest of Ragol. Originally a mindless machine, Valsione has been upgraded countless times by different groups and somewhere along the line started developing a personality of her own, becoming good friends with Lune and a vicious opponent to her enemies.

SK Anima

Last operational member of the original team that developed ARKAS, a genius in all fields of bioengineering. Has however little interest on politics or military matters and prefers to spend her time deloping new living experiments, which she affectionally calls her pets, even if she lets them roam free all the time and never orders them, plus expects them to take care of themselves. Not native to Ragol, records go as back as being an element of the “Devastation War” in some planet known as Parum and participating in projects to develop living weapons for certain sides.

Many bioengineering students and even masters have sought to learn under SK Anima, but her terrible people skills mean few have lasted long for she not only bluntly points out their flaws but can even predict what they’re going to say before they do, as well as figuring out their research from simple glimpses and copying most of it in a functional way. She can hack organic systems to a degree, but the proccess is so complicated it cannot be commercialized, in particular the extreme feeedback that even she struggles to handle. SK Anima makes her living from numerous underground side-business and is known to live in luxurious bunker-mansions.

Not as efficient as the Synthetic Hierarchy Improved Neo Impact Geared Advanced Mind Initiative, but significantly less risk of being bribed. They were poised to win and control Ragol in another 187641 cycles until Ming Yung arrived.

RI NK0 LXII was the first kasha Chalybus witnessed one in actual close action and proved even more effective than previously observed Kasha footage had led us to believe. Evil spirit levels are never been so low in our recorded activity and the corpses were disposed in an exemplary professional manner.

A fascinating experiment, using a member of an esper bloodline that had no esper powers themselves. Multiple attempts to awaken esper genes, powers were manifested but results similar to cybernewtypes and other such artificial abilities. Heavy use of mechanization as support. Filled the holes for stability, but only temporary measure. The designs seem made to fuse with more androids parts, more specificially models of a “Maia” line, not present in Chalybus database. Could potentially reverse the whole process but subject refused to.

Ming Yung has been going through a great deal of effort to hide their presence in Ragol, using all sorts of proxies and covering their tracks. That they directly contact us is a sign of our Chalybus great reputation. Ming Yung addition of her bot legions plus her own crushing presence have played a key role in stalemating the conflict between ARKAS and the eternals. Some rumors is that Ming Yung has 87% chances of decimating ARKAS if they made an all-out attack but instead has been further fortifying their positions and building up their forces. 56% chance that this is due to an 71% chance that an early attack would leave her weakened and vulnerable to being backstabbed by the eternals that are not too happy with granting power to the machines and would've not allied in the first place if not at the verge of defeat by ARKAS. Great business prospects, but first we need to find out more.

It is also used as an actual surname (even if not that common) and comes from "salgado" which means salty, hence why used to refer to salty foods.
