I had to travel over Thanksgiving - so technological progress had to halt for a little bit.

I get shanghai'ed to go to boondocks "ski"-lodge.
I'm the youngest person there.
Lawrence Welk show is the mtv substitute.  For reals.

In comes a family each one double (!) my size.

Junior is perhaps 11 , and is walking around like he just watched Saturday Night Fever and thinks that walk is the way to get chicks.
You could practically play the soundtrack just for him.
Even had the comb sticking out of his back pocket.

He's in for a long ride in high school.
Too entertaining to say :  "poor kid".

....I was just talking with a friend of mine earlier today about how she's afraid that a sore on her ass is from a spider bite and she's going to see a doctor tomorrow.

So in combination with the writing marathon of today and the Shadow of the Demon Lord review I wrote yesterday, I look back at the days in late November where I've been lazy and not writing and thinking why I keep falling into this.

The weird thing is that while it took some time, the writing I did today wasn't even very difficult or stressful, and this is something I know time and time again.  When I get started I get into a groove, but I never learn my lesson when I fall out of it and think "a thousand words in a day?  Ugh."
