A thought for Arkham Horror Homebrew
« on: January 24, 2015, 07:13:03 PM »
Homebrew for Arkham Horror is pretty easily done, but it can be a bitch printing out all those new cards so I had a thought on how to alleviate that, at least for locations.

Locations eat up a lot of ink because if you make new locations you have to make cards for all of them so I thought why not use a poker deck.  Diamonds are always something good (Gain 1 Sanity), Hearts are good but require you to make a check or give up something for it (male a Lore (-1) Check to gain 1 Sanity), Clubs are bad but you have a chance to escape (make a Lore (-1) Check or lose i Sanity), and Spades are always just bad (Lose  I Sanity).  Jokers are always bad and good (Lose I sanity, but gain 1 Unique Item).  That way as long as you have a poker deck handy, all you have to print out is the table results which would be much cheaper.
