[D&D 3.5] Low-Tier Campaign / Re: The Long Road to Glory
« on: March 30, 2013, 06:32:18 AM »
"The Rat Patrol is more skilled than you'd think, and their leader is the most cunning kobold I've ever met," the minotaur wheezed out. "They knew I would die here ... an acceptable loss. They will report to ... to Meera. She is attempting to rally we humanoids under one banner ... claims a goddess has bade her ..."

Meanwhile, Nami slowly sank to the ground beside Uube's ruined corpse and began to weep.

After the dwarf's powerful blows, the minotaur collapsed to his hands and knees, his blades clattering to the floor. He heaved a great sigh and clutched at his wounds, blood seeping from them. He raised his eyes to those around him and sighed once more.

"I am beaten..." he murmured.

Min/Max 3.x / Character Help Requested: A Swordsage/Master Thrower
« on: March 20, 2013, 05:20:14 PM »
Hello there, my group and I have been trying to put our heads together to try to build a functional Swordsage/Master Thrower. The best we've come up with is Swordsage 4/Fighter 2/MT 5, with maneuvers and stances focused mainly in shadow hand and setting sun for added maneuverability. However, I'm sure that there is room for improvement (Not to mention we're at a loss what to do with the last 9 levels). Any help is appreciated.

Thank you,

SleepyShadow

Though badly wounded, Alshen still had plenty of fight left in him. He rained blows down upon Nami as she struggled to fight back.

Alshen wrenched his blade out of Uube's chest and effortlessly blocked the dwarf's attacks. He shot Nalbin an icy glare before returning his attention to Nami.

Sorry, Warlock is too high tier. Would magewright work for your concept?

By the way, would you like to write Uube's death scene?

Alth's arrow embedded itself into Alshen's shoulder, and the minotaur groaned in pain. Nami drew her short blade and aimed a quick attack at the minotaur's chest. Simultaneously, Alshen split the focus of his attacks as he aimed his right blade at Uube while striking at Nami with his left blade.

Since they had top initiative, they all fled back down the tunnel.

Nalbin inflicted a mighty blow ... to the air. The minotaur let out a single low chuckle.

Uube leapt up and slammed his staff into the minotaur's shoulder. Alshen let out a roar of pain and staggered with the blow, but he did not fall.

Nami narrowly sidestepped Alshen's downward stroke, but the minotaur quickly blocked her kick with his forearm. His off-hand blade slid across her upper arm, leaving a shallow cut.

Uube's up.

I am fine being called Sleepy; it's usually more accurate. Also, I wouldn't really think of Nami as a DMPC, given the horror stories I have heard about those sorts of things. She isn't super effective, doesn't have all the answers, and is just as likely to get killed as anyone else. She is just there to help out while the group size is small.

The shot went wildly off course, coming closer to hitting Nami than Alshen. The masked minotaur struck down at the young woman with his twin blades, while simultaneously the monk aimed a swift kick at her assailant's chest in hopes of stunning him.
