"Tobias! Tobias, come here," the man hollers. A boy, about 14 comes running.  "Tobias well lead you there." He turns to the boy. Now, you listen here, I need you to show these two the old ogre lair to the north. Be quick about it, an you come back once the entrance I'd in sight. Don't go any farther. You hear?"

The boy grins and says,
"Yes sir"

The man looks to Zarkon, puts his hand on the boys shoulder and says,
"Take good care of my grandson now. He's all I've got left. He's quick and he'll listen to you. Make sure you send him back once the entrance is in sight. You two look like you can handle yourselves, but he's still a boy."
Smile beautiful. It's not as bad as you think.

Tobias leads the pair through three e woods for a little over an hour. They reach a break just beefier the Sun behind to set.Tobias points at an area between two hills and says,
"There" before he turns back into the woods and disappears. Before you, the hills look the same as ask the others, but you can see a path written through the undergrowth from  use.

Darus looks over adv says, "bed here for the night?"

Derus sits on watch through the night not having needed to rest his mind to regain the strength to perform his infusions.

In the morning, the Sun sun rises in the east, and Derus wakes up Zarkon just as the first light peaks through the hills.

"How would you like to proceed? And would you like me to perform any infusions upon your armor or weapons before hand?"

Zarkon shakes his head. "You know that I prefer to stay out of the thick of combat.  If you wish to enhance someone, enhance yourself.  Then I think a frontal assault is our best choice, unless you have other ideas."

"I agree, a frontal assault seems best. Do you want to run through then as quickly as possible, or should I plan for a longer assault?"

"I'd rather finish this quickly, otherwise we'll be giving them a tactical advantage since there are only two of us."

Zarkon nods, then leads the way to where their guide had pointed.  He keeps an eye out for anything that looks like it might be a threat.

As you approach the entrance, you can see a well written path from its inhabitants. Overgrowth helps to obscure it, but by following the path, you have little trouble gaining entry into the lair. As you enter, you can tell that the rectangular chamber was hewn from the rock by crude hands. The floors are damp and sandy, the walls limestone. The ceiling is at least twenty feet about the floor, but mostly covered in shadows. In the distance, you can hear a dropping sound, almost as if water is seeping through the roof and running down the walls.

Listen and spot checks please

Looking up at the ceiling Zarkon sees two ogre sized creatures clinging to the limestone. But other than size and vague shape, the resemblance is minimal. They are covered in chitin and have two extra sets of arms. Brutish mandibles jut out from the sides of their faces, and their eyes are multifaceted and cover the majority of their upper face. Grotesque didn't quite cover the disturbing amalgamation of ogre and spider.

Roll initiative please

Having prepared himself for this, Zarkon reacts immediately and covers a portion of the ceiling with an ectoplasmic sheen.

Zarkon's power causes the first to fall, hitting the ground hard on its back. -4hp

Seeing Zarkon's actions, Derus follows suit and pulls out a flash of stonebreaker acid and throws it at the limestone the second creature is clinging to.

Neither spear manages to score a hit on Derus, as his metal plating is too thick for their crude spearpoints to have any effect.

Zarkon is up.

Zarkon throws more ectoplasm, this time directly at an ogre.

The ball of sticky ectoplasm hits the ogre square in the chest and splatters, covering the ogre and making it hard to move.
