The Ghast in the rear stumbles forward, over the body of his fallen comrade, hungering for your flesh.

At the intrusion of this next horrific enemy, Karlat squints over the iron sights of his crossbow, carefully squeezing the lever. The bolt flies free with a solid thunk of string against limbs, streaking across the intervening space to plunge into the chest of the creature that shambled towards him. It wasn't a killing blow, but from the gushing fluids around the wound, it had to hurt as well.

Two fiery bolts of divine judgement streak out of the darkness and strike the lead foe.

Another beast falls, leaving you with only one left as far as you can tell.

As Yuki waits for a chance to strike, the last of the fiends lurches forward, scorching your nostrils with its stench.

Yuki gags on the stench, but still comes forward to feint an attack--and then jab a fist into what looks like a weak, squishy part of the corpse.

Karlat crinkles his nose at the stench, but otherwise finds its noxious nature impotent.

Hank draws and fires with blinding speed.  Four flaming arrows streak past Yuki.

Three tear through the slavering monster - setting its putrescent remains ablaze, and the forth splinters rock from the stone wall.

The last of the fiends falls, leaving you alone and unthreatened - for now.

Yuki straightens, looking around the dank tunnels. "I'm going to look around and see if there's any more nearby."

Yuki sneaks out and scouts eastwards. The tracks of the ghasts lead to the eastern-most tunnel, where they must have been in the process of digging up the corpses of Chancel's dear departed before they were distracted by the prospect of fresher food. Carelessly scattered among the gnawed-off bones are various goods and trinkets that may once have belonged to the meals of the ghasts', whether they were buried here or carried themselves into their hungry maws in search of treasure.

Well, there was no point leaving the goods in this charnel site... excepting the copper. That would be annoying to gather up and split; compared with the other coins here there was just no point.

And maybe one of the others could then work out what the scrolls are.

"Yuki!  You are full of surprises. Only a true saint would mask their virtue behind a facade of annoyed indifference. The poor of Krevborna thank you for generous contribution."

Hank begins scooping up copper and flashes her a cheeky smile and a wink.

He hands bags to Svyata and Дейвид. Svyata knods solemnly.  "For the mission."  Hank adds with a pointed look at Дейвид who affects an exaggerated demeanor of innocence.

To Mist's sense of magic, the Holy Water excudes the expected faint aura of transmutation. The two scrolls and the dish of salve also turn out to emit a faint aura of transmutation.

Going clockwise through the rest of the warrens, the eastern-most rooms turn out as empty but for the treasure cache Yuki uncovered earlier. It is only when Mist enters the intersection between the eastern loop and the central room that Mist notices several magical auras through the dirt wall emanating from the southern niche in the central room: Two faint evocation auras, but more notably one moderately strong school-less aura.

Seeing a magical aura, but unable to make it out well, Mist incants a cantrip with a whisper "Accio" and sees if the aura does in fact belong to a moveable object.

The two objects attached to the evocation auras move with Mist's incantations and thud against the wall, the circle of light moving with them. The moderately strong aura doesn't budge the least.

Mist concentrates on the objects, attempting to move them around the wall and towards her outstretched hand.
Hmm.

After several seconds of finagling, Mist manages to pull the objects attached to the auras in. They turn out as finely crafted small marble statuettes of St. Elusia, patron saint of artists and the young depicted as a maiden crowned with a floral wreath and holding a ripe apple, and of St. Nephemias, depicted as a corpulent man in robes holding a scythe and an hourglass who is invoked to protect grave sites and the passage of souls towards the Holy Mountain. In addition to being fine pieces of art themself, their heads are enchanted with a soft-glowing golden halo offering light like a torch, but being completely heatless. They ought to fetch a nice price.
