The pokéball hits properly this time and scoops the sewaddle up. After a few shakes, the capture is confirmed with a little light and Aurelie has caught a bug wrapped in a leaf!
If this were a videogame, there would be a catchy little capture tune playing now. But it isn't, so there isn't any tune, because there's no speakers in the forest. Don't be silly.
The final question now is whether bug silk leaves stains in clothing.

Aurelie claps happily, forgetting about the silk briefly. "Good job, Bic! Beautifully done!" The silk still dangling from her arms threatens to ignite as she reaches to give the ghost an affectionate pat. "Oh, right, this stuff..." Grimacing, she sets about the task of picking silk off her clothes and gathering up the scattered Pokéballs. If only this were a videogame, we could skip this little step, but it isn't, so we can't. But what kind of boring videogame would anyone choose to play instead of going on a trip to see the world of Pokémon?

"I still wonder why they put that web up if they didn't want to be bothered." Lisette sets herself to picking Marshmallow's fur clean, then allows the Cleffa to help untangle her hair from the silk, "Hey! Marshmallow, don't pull so hard."

"Mmm, probably to seem scary. Or maybe they just liked pulling pranks." Aurelie shrugs, scooping up the last Pokéball and its new passenger. "I wonder what they like to eat?"

"Greens probably." Lisette gets up, clear of silk aside from the bits Marshmallow is busy picking from her hair and a big tangled clump in her hands she stuffs into a clump, "Let's go then. Don't toss the silk, after we wash them they'd make a nice cushion!"

"You can have it." Aurelie gladly hands over the silk. "I'll stick to cooking, thanks, and I don't think this'd make a very good meal...anyway, yeah, we should get going." Beckoning Bic over, she heads back toward the path.

Lisette rolls the silk into a bundle as she follows, trying to make it marshmallow shaped.

The silk proves quite sticky and gross, but only until it starts drying out in the air, at which point it seems to become tough and kind of springy, a little like latex foam. Something tells Aurelie and Lisette this stuff isn't really ideal material to build a spider web out of. Whatever it was their new friends were doing, it wasn't very well thought out.

The forest apart from the main road, the pair note, is somewhat confusing. The trees, for the most part, all look the same. One thing that doesn't look the same, though, is a potbellied man in a hiker's outfit sporting a well-groomed neck-beard. He seems to be looking for something, accompanied by a large bug with a giant mushroom on its back.

The notices Aurelie and Lisette around the same time they see him and raises a hand to wave. "Hoi, young ladies! Are you lost?"

Aurelie waves back. "Hello there! Um...we might be? I thought we were on the right path to Lumiose but that tree looks familiar. Are you out camping?"

Nodding at Aurelie's words, Lisette looks curiously at the large mushroom, pulling out her camera, "Nice mushroom."

The man laughs and gives his pokémon a friendly prod with his walking stick. "I should hope so. This fella grows 'em for me and helps me out with mushroom-hunting." He scratches his beard a little and looks around. "To Lumiose, you say? Let's see... You're not lost as such, the road should be that way, and then curves a bit. You basically can't miss it unless you go right back the way you came."

"Oh, those mushrooms? They're really good if you dry them first, the flavor gets much better." Aurelie momentarily looks lost in the culinary possibilities, then abruptly snaps out of her daze to give the hiker an odd look. "But you're careful when you harvest them, right? If you don't do it exactly right, you'll hurt the Paras..."

The hiker laughs and pats his belly in agreement. "I know, I know," he says, as if he gets that question a lot. "Don't you worry, young lady. I've got a friend to do that for me; I just catch 'em all."

Nodding, Lisette bends down to look at the giant bug, "Could you ask it to show me it's tricks?"

"Oh, good!" Aurelie smiles in relief, then colors slightly as she realizes what she just did. "...Sorry if that was impolite, I just wanted to make sure the Pokémon weren't getting hurt..."
