http://rpg.brainclouds.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/SpaceHamster_4E.pdf Found something nifty if any of you hamster fans play 4e.

With Gazziens help the dragons should be done soon.  Will also be adding more hamsters, particularly once I track down the 3.5 spelljammer rules.

Got most of the dragons crunch done, but with one snag: electrum dragons breathe a confusing/enfeebling gas so what do I make the immunity for the half-dragon/dragon shaman sub levels?  immunity to confusion is nice but wont pop up so often, same with immunity to str damage.  However electrum dragons do have a bonus on saves vs spells and SLA's, so I could give them that.

Or generalize STR damage to just plain old Ability damage?

I would but the immunity feature is to the damage of the breath weapon.  Thats not a problem for most dragons as it's usually one of the 5 energy types.  But the Electrum Dragon is unique.  Does anyone think immunity to the Str damage/confusion combo would be as good as immunity to a specific energy type?

Shadow dragons breathe energy drain, which is the closest to Str drain.
What immunity do they grant?

They only officially did chromatic and metallic dragons that I know of.  Anything else we'd be homebrewing ourselves.

Almost done with round 2.  My apologies for the slowness, particularly to Samwise and Amechra.  Normally busy time doesn't start for me at work till december, but it's been interfering with my free time since october this year.  I should have everything done this week but wooly rupert as he is more complex.  I'm also adding some vehicles to the space hamster etry via the arms and equipment guide rules.

No problem, I've been overworked too the last couple of weeks.
I did notice the hamster ball reference and wondered where that was going.
I told you those critters begged for random expansion in bizarre directions.

Yeah, I was trying to find updated rules for spelljamming ships for 3.5, but without much luck.  So I'm making them psychically power war machines.  Might add some more variants too, though I think the template might take care of that.

Didn't they do a SJ update in an issue of Polyhedron?

Hold on . . .

Will 3E (2002) do?

Polyhedron 151, which was co-located with Dungeon 92 has the "official" version by Andy Collins. It doesn't have ship design rules though.

You can also find a fan version here:

http://lost.spelljammer.org/TBLIV/lsccs3e/

Which says it has ship design rules, but I haven't checked the pdf.

I saw the fan version, but most of those ships were HUGE!  The vehicles I wanted to do (at least initially) were single hamster vehicles.  At least till I get to Ruperts personal death star.  Apparently he's a spelljammer too.

The SJ rules don't really work with small craft.
(They don't really work with large craft either, mostly because it looks like they did the original ships by drawing kewl pictures first then giving them stats later, which included throwing multiple kewl things onto the ships, and that required significant kludging when they finally wrote up ship design rules for people to make their own.)

For other alternatives . . .

Maybe tweak the D20 Modern/Future rules?
They had some for mechs I think in one of the books.

They seem to be the same vehicle rules form the AaEG, modified for D20 Modern.  One book does have starship rules though...

anyone have any minor dire rat mutations theyd like to see?

New Hamsters are up

round 2 is done (except hammie vehicles, the creation rules are a bit vague)

Wooly Rupert and round 3 begins now

Unicorn, Black?

It would appear this has already appeared in Monsters of Faerun.

Got all of current batc done cept Wooly Rupert, who is well on his way to be finished.  Assuming I can figure out how to put his CR together.
