I've got a fairly good start on my character, with little more than equipment to finish as far as the sheet is concerned, as well as writing out the character background information I've been tinkering with. A bit of it is influenced by an existing character, though I'll be altering it enough to be its own entity. Should be fun to play, hopefully. :)

Honestly, i'd go with what would feel right. "What would my character have before joining this outfit, would he have a lock picking set" etc...

yeah, don't worry about the gun and ammo....I'd get some of the professional gear...don't worry about the following unless you want a separate one : Cell phone, gun and ammo, passport, any of the weapon related gear, surveillance gear.

will they be providing transportation and living facilities?

yeah and yes they give you a housing voucher ...I also found stats for the AA-12 and the weapon it's  developed from

Caliber: 12 gauge 2-3/4"
Damage: 2d8
Critical: 20x2
Range increment: 40'
Magazine: 10, 20 or 32 [Box]
Rate of Fire: S,A
Size: Large
Purchase DC: 18
Restriction: Mil[+3] (Since it's a full-auto weapon made after 1986, it is only available to Military/Law Enforcement agencies. No civilian sales. A semi-auto version would almost certainly be ruled a Destructive Device by the BATFE, which carries a Res[+2] restriction)

d20 Modern Rules: This weapon is unreliable. It fires 2 3/4-inch
shells only.
Damage: 2d8–1 Magazine: 12 or 28 box
Critical: 20 Size: Large
Damage Type: Ballistic Weight: 11 lb.
Range Increment: 40 ft. Purchase DC: 18
Rate of Fire: S, A Restriction: Res (+2)

Due to lack of power at home it might take a while for me to get something going, but unless the power company is really bad at getting things working again I'll have something by Friday I believe.

It also has specialty munitions such as anti vehicle rounds that explode and shreds the fuel/brake lines, and can fire mini frag grenades :D

Man, there just are not enough class skills and skill points available to cover all the talents and proficiencies that a fictional super-spy is known to have. I suppose this will have to just be a much more grounded, less-fantastic version of the character. :P

umm i'm gonna have to say no to those rounds at;east the min frag rounds..the other shell types I have rules for and I'm going up up the PDC to 25 due to the fact that only 22 of them exist and aren't for sell.....at least as far as the actual AA-12 is concerned

The other one no changes to it's PDC that's the Daewoo USAS-12

Power's back on, and I've got the character started as far as rolls and such go.

Edited in the myth-weaver character link.  Now we see if I can stay up long enough to get some of these thoughts down in writing.  Though I might end up laying in bed and just using my tablet to make notes and maybe even reread the books again...  Anyway, "infrastructure" is up.

Just as a placeholder for now:

Nathalie Leroux
Female Fast Hero 1
Occupation: Investigative (Espionage)

(click to show/hide)

ouch on the wealth...I may add in a character of my own if everyone says they are fine with it and if i feel the group needs another character

Well, must be balancing for the good stat roll I got. ;)

Seriously though, at least as you said some of the equipment will be provided, though getting personal equipment will be tougher, at least at first.

I'm fine if you want to create a GMPC to act as team leader or liaison or something. Makes sense given that we're supposed to be newbies to the Campus and all.  :)

Could there be a roll thread perhaps?  IC doesn't work for me and using charactersheet.net all the time might get tedious.
