Nevus bears down with all of his enraged strength, gripping the sides of the stone with the claws on his feet for leverage, and finally drags the blasted creature out of the hole.

Repare and Phaeros grin, and in perfect synchronous motion, hack at the damned thing.

Repare: 8/24/3
Phaeros: Nat20

As soon as Nevus gets out of the hole, Tarkus shots at the creature.

Seeing Tarkus shoot at Nevus, Bruto wonders for a moment who he's supposed to smash now. Well, the tentacle things had been more annoying so far.  So he lumbered towards the struggle and proceeded to punch up the smaller one.

With a heave of effort Nevus holds tight to the creature and leans back, making them both fall to the tunnel below.

At the instant they fall to the floor, Tarkus lets loose with an arrow.  Unfortunately it buries itself within the wrong target.

The rest of the party then proceeds to turn the creature into gibbits but not before it makes one last attempt to squeeze the life out of the zombie.

Well, that had certainly been annoying. Now that the danger had passed, the ghostly elf removed herself from the wall, and went back to check on her coffin. Yup, still in good condition.

Phaeros smiled. "Get me the other one, I'll make these... things... into companions. We'll see if they're useful companions, at least." With a sigh, Phaeros begins going through the backpack on Repare's back, his scythe already sheathed on his back, before pulling out some onyx gems.

Nevus punches the fallen choker hard enough to crush it's skull, ensuring it's dead, then stands up, arrow sticking out of his back, and turns menacingly towards the skeleton... "YOU! You shot me! I'll rip your bony arms off!"

Phaeros glares at Nevus, and shakes his head. "You... behemoth! I need the corpses intact to reanimate them for assistance in our quest! They're useless if I can't ensure the completeness of its body - or, at the least, its skeleton! Thank you for ruining a perfectly good corpse, which you should know are in short supply!"

"Don't blame me... Blame you yourself for playing with that and getting in my way. " Tarkus says while keeping his calm, but he is extremely aware of the zombie.

Nevus growls at Phaeros, then quickly lunges at Tarkus, swinging his meaty fist at thin air as the skeleton scampers away.

Nevus growls "How many do you think you'd see if you took off that stupid eye patch?"

Phaeros sighed, and pointed - obediently, the zombified Choker lumbered to the front. "I can send this one up to figure out what's going on, if we'd like. Or we can keep the element of 'surprise', little that it is. Up to you all, I don't pretend to be a tactician."

The ghost's viewpoint wasn't one that would really allow making out anything beyond except, maybe, 'lights'. She appeared to be hearing perfectly well, though.

Bruto, being the most talented of the lot, is able to confirm that it is indeed three little balls of light floating around, and that they are apparently talking to one another, although it's certainly not in a language that he can identify.

And that they appear to be in a large cave. Or at least, he can't see any walls behind or around them, which is why they are able to keep wafting in and out of sight.

Arcus failed to spot, much less hear what ever had brought the party to a halt. "What's the delay this time!?"

After Nevus's comment, the skeleton merely replies "The eyepatch does not get in my way, so I'd say I can spot the same number... Oh yeah, in the end Bruto showed to be better than both of us... Both of us." Tarkus makes special mention at the word "both".
