"Given they tried to pin a murder on us, I'm not entirely sure we should announce our presence... However, if you wish to, I shall be standing at a safe distance. In the shadows." Cantra  thought for a moment.

It was a long moment, and nothing much came of it, other than a slightly depressed spellsinger.

Kat shrugs, and tries the door to see if it opens.
Hmm.

The door swings wide on the ruined building, a low creak from the aged and ill-fitting wood accompanying the action. It opens onto a low hallway, partially blocked by timbers that had fallen down from the floor above. Strangely, there was little in the way of dust on the floor, despite the damage that abounded. Other than the partially blocked corridor, there were a few doors branching off, one to the left and one to the right. The righthand door had beams stacked in front of it, rendering it all but unusable, while the other door was clear, either by luck or action.

The corridor itself was only twenty feet long, and ended in a large set of double doors, one partially fallen off its hinges. Kat was unable to see farther than that due to the poor lightning and fallen beams scattered about.

Kat moves v e r y slowly and quietly to the door that isn't blocked. She then puts her ear by the door and listens.
