What exactly are you looking for as far as status? Pretty much the idea of my campaign world is for the most part traditional fantasy, little bit towards the high side on magic. Dragons more movers and shakers than random/mindless monsters. Non-humanoid monsters are for the most part alive and well, scattered about the continent as usual/"traditional"(that is until a group of adventurers comes along). I can happily give more specfic information.

There are currently two kingdoms that have been around for about two(west kingdom) and three(East Kingdom, and the one closest to the dragon) centuries. Each on opposite sides of a massive lake(250 miles wide, about 300 miles north to south, "long") in the northern half of the huge continent. The two kingdoms will become close allies in the future. Both are good for the most part with Bahamut being their primary deity(with Tyr and a Homebrew Pelorish diety also having strong influence). The country-side is pretty much wild except around the settlements/cities. Plenty of things for adventurers to do and plenty of creatures of all types for them to encounter.

Continent Summary: While civialization has a good foothold here and there, the wilderness still reigns supreme. Plenty of monsters of all types and adventurers are in high demand as skilled troubleshooters.

As for slavery: "Tools that should not be wasted and always used appropreiatly."

I hear it's amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on Hara-Kiri rock! I need scissors! 61!

OK, then here we go!  I'm going to play fast and loose with the setup, so bear with me.  :)  Don't read the intro stuff (that I'm posting in a separate thread later) until we're finished, please.

OK, so here's an issue I didn't think about til just now.  Arkesh has an item for you which will be useful for your actual abilities... but she's not technically supposed to know what you really are.  Could you have told Arkesh the real deal?

I always assumed that the Illithids who brought him to the complex and enslaved his elven "friends" would have informed Arkesh(and the other higher ups), but thank you for checking.

But it still stands that the less people that know about it, the better.  :D

Ah yes, that makes sense.  Therefore:

Arkesh approaches Throisar away from the rest.  She removes a ring from the pouch and gives it to him, then begins speaking... but in his mind Throisar hears something completely different. <I will continue to keep your secret, Throisar, if that is what you wish.  However, my aim is to make you as effective as possible.  Therefore, I present you this.  It should help strengthen your natural abilities.>

He nods to Arkesh, responding telepathically. <Yes, that is what I wish. Please do. For my own purposes, the fewer individuals that know about my ability, the better. After all, Metallics are the only dragons who should be capable of this.>

Taking the offered ring, he spends a few moments inspecting it. Human eyes widening as he realizes it's purpose. Offering a bow to Arkesh while speaking aloud.

"Thank you Lady Arkesh, this is most generous. I shall be sure to put it to good use."
