The Gorons are the greatest blacksmiths of Hyrule. The tiny Minish, however, are the greatest artificers. They created the Four Sword, Gust Jar, Ice Rod, and many other magical items that have aided heroes on their journey. They live underfoot, in the walls of homes, even in stumps and cracks in the ground all over Hyrule- the cosmopolitan Town Minish of Castle Town, to the whimsical Forest Minish of Retsam Wood, to the hearty Mountain Minish of Death Mountain. Every hundred years, the doors to the Minish Realm open, and they can travel between Hyrule and the Minish World.
Saursari is one of the Town Minish, living in a bookshop in Castle Town. He set off to meet the other tribes, in hopes of studying magic under the elder Minish. However, he had little patience for preparing spells and focused on learning how to cast a few spells all the time- specifically, ones befitting an adventurer, as he aspired to travel Hyrule. Yes, he sought this knowledge in hopes of becoming like Elzo, a legendary hero of the Minish and one of their greatest artificers, who adventured across Hyrule in days long past. While Ezlo adventured alongside a Hylian, Saursari has to settle for a talkative owlet.
