[3.5e] Endurance
« on: November 07, 2011, 03:39:14 PM »
What are all the sources of the Endurance feat in 3.5e?  Let's include variations on it.  I'm looking to make a Desert Kobold Desert Merchant for a game and would like some way to pick up both the Heat Endurance Feat from Sandstorm (I might be able to get the DM to allow me to get this instead of the Heat Endurance feature of the Desert Kobold race), and the Kobold Endurance feat from Races of the Dragon, but I have some pretty hefty restrictions put on my build so I want a lot of options I can potentially shoot for.

Just off the top of my head:

Desert Orcs (race) get it as a bonus feat. Frostblood Orcs might or might not get it as well, I'm not sure.
Rangers (class) get it as a bonus feat.
I'm sure there's some item that gives it as a feat. I thought maybe it was an Ioun Stone (PF has one that gives it), but it's not.

Thought one of the Legendary Sites in CScoundrel gave it, but apparently not.

Doesn't Sandstorm have some locations that can grant you stuff?  I know the Planar Handbook does too.  Maybe it was one of those?

For the sake of the question, I'll look through Sandstorm.  It kinda defeats the purpose to take Touchstone just to get the Endurance feat, though.

Also, I just learned that even though we're in an environment that's hot as hell, the DM's not allowing Sandstorm for "balance issues."

EDIT: Salt Sanctuary in Sandstorm gives Improved Heat Endurance, and allows for Parching Touch as an SLA, which is honestly pretty impressive.

Totemist soulmelds, Frost Helm (for the cold side) and more relevantly Phoenix Belt (for the warm side) give similar effects with regards to temperature. Might be something that actually gives endurance, but not sure what it would be.

psudo endurance that would likely be appropriate, gained through Horizon Walker Desert terrain.

Horizon Walker ...
Which requires Endurance.

That's too bad.  Only Frostburn has the crazy stuff.

Well I'm pretty sure the build will have it.  ;)
