AFAIK, he never said that.  He said, and the Vatican confirmed(or maybe the other way around), that the Vatican invited him and he said he was thinking about it, but no plans as of yet had been made.

Also...Bill Clinton....just....wow...

So ... me and my kitty avatar(s) have been thinking, so to speak.

Trump only needs some "Insider" delegates to Defect like the Prisoner's Dilemma.
Trump's hardest negotiating line, is Prez or 3rd party.

Cruz is trying his hardest to make a stab at winning delegates, even though he won't succeed.
Sooner or later, he's smart enough to know it's Vice Prez or nothing.

Cruz has the massively weaker hand.

The "Insiders" know that only a small handful have to defect, and it's over.
None of them are saying they're gonna defect, but
they all know somebodies are lying slightly more than the somebodies elses.

I think Cruz looks at this and knows his ultimate move HAS TO BE kow tow to Trump, especially while he has full control of his own delegates.

I think the smart "Insiders" look at Cruz defecting, plus so few of their own needing to defect anyway, combining to end the whole game ...
that there's a "Insiders" Palace Revolt / ~Coup D'etat being organized.  They're the :  OK we'll play ball since this is the only real game in town.

What the Defectors want is as much influence as possible on their side, marginalizing a specific ~Old Guard group as much as possible, and worming their way in to take over, the no organization Trump part, and the weaksauce clueless Cruz part.
The additional bets they make are Trump is :  "just like other charismatic types, with no long term org at all" , and Cruz is :  "as much the flavor-of-the-month for the Social Conservs as Huckabee or Santorum pitch 'em both overboard when the next cutie comes along".

Tally that as a :  Trump strong, Cruz weak, Defectors medium, combo ;
with the Defectors playing at a medium term takeover (so they think).
Call it "The" Coalition with the 3 sides already having their Knives out.
They all know what the others are bringing to the table.

Does this sound possible ?
Or scarily possible ?!

I would say ego prevents cruz and trump from working together.  Neither has shown much in the way of being a team act, it's always been "my way or nothing".

Apparently it's happening the 15th.  Right after the NY debate.  Good move, and good timing!

Yeah I can see that being the major problem, to the proposed scenario.
And the other is similar, the Insiders have tried to show no cooperation with either of them.

"My way or nothing" is a standard negotiating tactic.
Cruz has the most to lose, with that line.
Trump at least has a real threat to back up that tactic.

Idk how the various Defector/Insider groups rationalize their version,
but I'm pretty certain the "No Trump + No Cruz" people don't care.
They'd rather the party lost than either of those guys.
They're not even negotiating, except with other Insiders.

I kinda wonder if they're holding off on the US stuff for closer to the general election when it can actually have impact. :hide

Cameron now says he made money off his Dad's deals.
Putin says it's a USA conspiracy (of course).

Wikileaks oddly have flipped relative to their previous activities.
What are they up to?

China leader's bro-in-law is in on it.
Ukraine's current leader is in too.
Putin + Ukraine aren't on the same side, so the likelyhood
of this being a USGov inside job is small (tho' not impossible).

Whoever the Hackers are, they have to release what they have
involving the USA soon, for fullest impact.  This clearly impacts
the Wall Street standard operating procedures, and the most
attention getters against WS are Trump and Bernie.

It was a joint effort by 400 journalists.  We know who did the investigation.

Too many people involved at that stage for "real" conspiracy.
That won't stop the conspiracy "theorists" at all ... (wink).

4 Americans, 200 USA Passports and this
from the wiki page citing the lead German paper:
In response to the lack of American individuals in the documents, the editor of Süddeutsche Zeitung said: "Just wait for what is coming next."[196]

It's such a pretty world map (so far)  :cool

When ?
Nothing yet.

The other possible timing hinge point
would be the Repubs name their Prez
and that's someone they've got Dirt on.
'Course Hillary might be mentioned too.
(doubtful Bernie's doing that)

/r/the_donald suspends its "no racism" rule in regards to Middle Eastern people, reverses bans on members from /r/european, which is a Neo-Nazi subreddit.

At least they're showing their true colors; makes for a nice giant neon sign saying "STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!"

Well people, it looks like Hillary Clinton won in New York over native son Bernie Sanders. That and people are calling for Bernie to drop out or ease up on Clinton. Damn it, I hoped we'd win this one.

We still might.  There's the lawsuit going through, and the lead by Clinton from exit polls will be only 4 points.  If both of those things go Bernie's way, there's still a chance he wins.

Although some oddities I've noticed about the polls and results.  First, Bernie lost in places that I would have expected he win, such as Brooklyn, and lost more in places I thought he'd only lose a bit in.  Second, somehow despite pre-voting polls having him up by 20 points with Latinos, he is losing by 15 with them?

You didn't hear? 160,000 people were kicked off the voting rolls inexplicable in Brooklyn, so precise as to target specific blocks and buildings,  Several polling places wre closed when people arrived or they were told "machines are broken, sorry."

And an investigation was announced before the polls were even closed.
