You can tell the connection has not been fully established. It will take a number of rounds for it to fully connect with all of the natural planetary interference on Felucia. It is also one of the reasons why your slicing of the network on Felucia was so difficult originally.

Right now the Tech is in the fifth round of establishing the connection. You can have Silten roll a Knowledge Technology to determine how much longer it may take to establish the connection. Your current efforts against the technician are actually setting his DC's each round for every round you try to prevent his efforts.

For example by re-opening the doors, I also made the assumption you would like to try to keep them open, so your 28 Use Computer check became his DC to re-close them. Since he failed to re-close them your 28 stands. Since he beat the DC you set for establishing the connection, he surmounted your efforts and you could continue to work against him this round.

In case it wasn't obvious, Silten delayed so now I'm last.

I'm curious, how is he able to roll twice a round?  I want to do that...

For games that exclusively use the board roller instead of linking from IC, the solution to that is to make a new thread just for rolling dice.  Then you just link to the post containing the roll instead of IC.

I'm not trying to push you one way or another, just letting you know you have options if IC stays down for a bit.

You said I could stand on top of my mount with a Ride check and see over the gate correct? Does that apply to the wall as well? What kind of an action would that be (Standard, move, swift, full) ?

Performing that would allow you to see over the door but even for your height I doubt you can see over the wall still while standing in the saddle enough to actually do anything. You could then grab the top of the all and pull yourself up.

I figure standing in the saddle would be a move action and require a DC 15 ride check to accomplish to keep the mount steady enough. If you climbed to the top of the wall it would be another move action and a climb check.
