Excellent!

I'm just going to port over my last question.

Ok I will add concentration on my finalized character sheet.

I wish there was more options for a animal companion though. I'm considering swapping out my last feat, the raven song one, for Natural Bond instead. Just so I can choose a better animal companion..
Are you allowing other sources besides the standard stuff? Dire Eagle from Races of Stone pg 186, can be taken by a 4th level druid...

I noticed you are allowing WarBeast template... will you allow other "buff ups" for our animal companions? Such as... idk umm Celestial? I would be more willing to take a dire badger if I was able to make it a bit more useful. Its somewhat weak as is.
Actually Wolves are one of my favorite animals.. I would enjoy having one as an AC, but they are just to weak. So thats why I was curious about progressing a weaker creature.

Thanks!  :D

Sure.  Dire Hawks, Dire Eagles are fine.  Bears, Boars, Badgers, Weasels, Wolves, and Wolverines are all fine.  Any of you from mountainous regions could even eventually (when it becomes available) justify a tiger (where do you think the Snow Tiger Berserker Lodge gets its name?)  Leopards would be fine (sort of a "dire lynx").  I'll get a "Society and Culture" thread up soon, and it will include a list of the kinds of animals common to Norse and Rashemi areas.

I'll let you do Warbeast.  If you want celestial, you've got to get the appropriate Exalted feat.

I saw that.  Ouch.  Hopefully the 6th level roll will be a good one.

Gorgeous!

DNA, I feel you on the wolf. They're so cool, and really iconic, but they're underpowered. Even a dog is better.

I went ahead and took one as my companion anyways because of the thematic reasons - cleric of Odin and all - but warbeast will be a godsend.

If your build can handle it, a dip into the Beastmaster prestige class is a quick and easy boost to your companion. One level effectively gets you Natural Bond - a +3 to your EDL - but unlike with Natural Bond, your EDL can actually exceed your character level. It's exceptioal for druids as a result, whereas Natural Bond is more like Practiced Spellcaster, more effective for rangers or multiclass druids. It'll still cost you a feat to get, as the PRC requires Skill Focus: Handle Animal though.

I'll look into some other animal companion stuff for you. I swear there was another nifty way to boost them, but it didn't work for my build so it went right out of my head.

Hmm... that opens up some nice possibilities. Leopards, dire eagles and dire hawks all have good stats. I might go with a (snow) leopard instead of a snake.

KSB, do you want us to roll or take average for our animal companions' hit points?

You can do either.  On average, the rolling will get them more (they can double-roll too), but as phaedrus has demonstrated, that isn't always the case.

phaedrus, your animal friends should just take average rolls.  Unlike animal companions, they aren't/don't become exceptional creatures.

Lycanshee, how exactly is your first HD a 12?

(I'm assuming it was a copy/paste error.  Just leave it; don't edit your post).

That was me being sloppy with my copy paste, I had just noticed myself.

Lycanshee did a good job of dealing with the runecasting designations, and how he prepared each spell:
Quote
& - Runed on Spear Haft.
# - Threaded on Arms.
@ - Rune Stone.

Cleric Spells prepared: (5/4+1/3+1/2+1)
0: @Create Water, &Cure Minor Wounds, &Detect Magic, @Mending, &Mending
1: Domain: &Longstrider, &Cure Light Wounds, &Magic Weapon, @Omen of PerilSC, #ResurgenceSC
2: Domain: &Spiritual Weapon, #Close WoundsSC, &Lesser Restoration, &BenedictionCC
3: Domain: &Magic Vestment, &Cure Serious Wounds, &Mass ConvictionSC
Basically just make some kind of key, and then note what each spell is.

I typically do it with superscript T (tattoo), R (runestone), and S (Staff), but his method works just as well, and takes less coding.

How I usually do it:

0: Create WaterR, Cure Minor WoundsS, Detect MagicS, MendingR, MendingS
1: Domain: LongstriderS, Cure Light WoundsS, Magic WeaponS, Omen of PerilR, ResurgenceT
2: Domain: Spiritual WeaponS, Close WoundsT, Lesser RestorationS, BenedictionS
3: Domain: Magic VestmentS, Cure Serious WoundsS, Mass ConvictionS

The one thing to watch out for, is that your number of Tattoo and Staff runes can each only be twice your caster level.  If I counted right, the ones listed above have 12 rune staff runes, which is more than the 10 your caster level of 5th would allow.

I'm glad my notation worked! I may switch over to using a superscript method since that would be tidier, but was relying on superscript to denote the sources for reference for now.

I had noted the limitations on the number of Tattoo Runes but totally missed that Staff Runes had similar rules. I'll go ahead adjust for that now, marking Detect Magic and my other Mending on Runestones as well.

I'm not actually a he though, lol. I'd prefer she or they for anything OOC.

No problem.  Sorry for the mistake (hard to tell just from someone's speaking).

And on that note, everyone make sure to specify your character's gender somewhere as well (probably in your write-up for the backstories).

No rush on anyone getting their stuff finalized (as I wasn't planning to start the main thread until this weekend), but, if on the off chance everyone is ready to go sooner than that, I already have the first post typed up.  I'll post it once everyone is ready.

Edit:  I also slightly modified the last sentence in my previous post, to ensure I was clearly getting across what I intended, so there is no confusion.

Einar needs: HP, More gear (I didn't realize we started with higher starting money than 9,000 so he has 4,000gp to spend), Me to reread the old game and re-familiarize myself with him.

No worries!

I'm playing a male character which can also further muddy the waters.  :lol

I'm pretty much good to go, so whenever is fine with me.

i need to finish buying gear.
actually that raises a question for KSB. it says a masterwork lute applies a +1 to the bards inspire abilities. will that work for my jotunfire inspiration as well? im pretty sure when the lute was thought up that the dragonfire inspiration hadn't come about yet. of course i could be wrong.

and choose my animal companion and finish updating skills.

Where is the MW Lute from? Complete Adventurer or something?
