YOUDOMO "People live in ignorance. Constantly turning a blind eye. Those that let go of their past, have no future." Translated literally as 'friend of the unusual/bizarre' (thanks Kuro!), this is those who have somehow become an ambassador for humankind among the Yokai, learning many skills from them, how to avoid offending them, and often acting as an intermediary settling disputes. While many Youdomo have supernatural powers, they are not necessary (though they will come in mighty handy keeping you alive). Not so much an official position as something you sort of fall into because by luck or coincidence because you have a talent for it.
BECOMING A YOUDOMO Virtually anyone can become a Youdomo, though the mystic classes gravitate towards the class more often.

Weapon Proficiencies: A Youdomo gains no new weapon or armor proficiencies.
Ki Pool: The Youdomo's class levels stack with his other Class levels for purposes of determining how many times per day he can use his Ki Pool and for how many Ki Abilities he has learned. A Youdomo may choose from any School of Ki abilities they currently know, as well as Henshin, Kotodama, Medium, and Ofuda.
PLAYING A YOUDOMO You have friends in odd places. Perhaps your family has a gift for communicating with the supernatural, or perhaps you yourself were born with it somehow. Maybe you're part Yokai yourself. For whatever reason spirits and supernatural beings of all sort seem to flock to you with their problems, and so does any human who is bedeviled by them. So long as you deal openly with both sides honestly, and don't betray anyone, you receive great favor. Naturally of course everyone wants you to betray someone on their behalf...
Combat: You are not a fighter. As a declared neutral party, no one expects you to be a combatant, and in fact many will go out of their way to avoid harming you as you are considered to valuable a resource to waste.
Advancement: Advancement is up to you, and can vary depending on who or what you have allied yourself with.
Resources: You have many supernatural friends, and some of them may have given you great wealth. If not, human clients wishing your help in dealing with your acquaintances will be willing to reward you quite nicely.
YOUDOMO IN THE WORLD "Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream by night." Generally you live a life of leisure doing odd jobs here and there while living off the generosity of those who will need you at some point. After all no one else is exactly volunteering to meet with the Yokai.
Daily Life: Your life is pretty much your own until trouble arises, and then you have to work out the problems caused by human interaction with things they don't understand.
Notables:
Organizations: Youdomo tend to be loners. If one belonged to an organization it would likely have a mystical bent of some kind.
NPC Reaction NPC's tend to hold you in fear (or at least awe) because of your associations. Granted they all come to you for help regardless of that fear.
YOUDOMO IN THE GAME You will be asked to do some pretty awkward things, and if you fail a lot of people may pay the price for it. Including the other PC's.
Adaptation: This is good for silly or serious campaigns.
Encounters: Youdomo are usually encountered in odd places, such as shops in back alleys, mountain tops, waterfalls, or maybe houses in trees. They are an odd blend of humanity and the supernatural world.
Sample Encounter EL 12: Kappas are suddenly on the rampage and no one knows why. The PC's are asked to find a young woman who is said to have spent time among them to help negotiate peace.
