There's a Japanese manga D&D comic set in Eberron
« on: June 12, 2015, 02:09:12 AM »
I found these on Wizards of the Coast's message boards while Google Searching Eberron Pics.

(click to show/hide)

Intriguing...I wonder if anyone translated them into English.

Edit: Found a much wider version of the second pic which I can't upload to Imgur for some reason.

As you seemed to be lacking an idea of an actual source on these pics......

I thought I might help out everyone else who might be curious about what these are from  :D

Though that is a translated name.

D&D Replay Wakajishi no Ikusauta if you wanna search for anything specific on it. Searching based on that english translated title doesn;t fetch much but Amazon links.

Also it's a light novel, rather than a manga. This specific thing is a Replay, a session log of a D&D game written as a LN, basically.  ;)

If it were in English, I'd read it to poach story ideas...

Hey Ketaro, long time no see!  Thank you for the info, that's very interesting.

The replay comic is an interesting thing which Western table-top gamers should do more often.  Although when it comes to licensed games I don't think that regular groups would be able to do it without the threat of lawsuit.

Explicitly adult content is prohibited by board rules, so I simply went with "Slightly NSFW" instead in case the mods think I posted pornography here or something.  Still, spoiler'd.

Well this essentially falls under fanfiction and/or parody (Doujinshi for this specifically) and is perfectly fine for the original author/artist to sell. Especially as the contents generally wouldn't include actual information from the rulebooks.

Although this person may have at least asked permission to print/sell it as it does include the actual D&D logo on the cover.
