Leviathan Hunter, from Stormwrack, deserves mention for a grappler PrC, specifically allowing you to use the Clever Wrestling feat, regardless of prereqs, from 3rd level on.

I mentioned LH in the Reaping Mauler writeup, but I'll give it a separate mention.
Psychic Warrior not listed in the base classes who can try for it? They do have the necessary buffs for it.

How did I forget that?  PsyWar is even in one of the builds.

Soul Eater is also something to consider. You make grappling easier for yourself every time you whack someone you are grappling.

Hmm... interesting.  I'll give it a mention!

EDIT: Psywar is NOT in the psionic build... but it still deserves to be on there.

There's got to be some way to build a good warlock Grappling Blast grappler using gish PrCs. They can use Attain Familiar to get an octopus - that feat isn't listed here.

Hmm, I'll think on it.  I'll add the feat, as well (the familiar is on there, but the feat is not).

The problem is that you're probably going to do a lot of the same tricks that normal warlocks do -- get Naberius & a bloodline, and take Hellfire Warlock.  So, you're basically a blasty warlock who spent some feats on being good at grappling.  Is that worthy of a separate build?

It depends on how good it can grapple essentially.  So far you've got Grappling Blast as red, but a solid build using it might move it up to black.

IIRC, Grappling Blast then gives you a bonus on subsequent grapple attempts, and a pretty high one at that.

The touchstone (sunken city of Pazaar) (sandstorm) and Kobold Endurance feats (races of the dragon) both add +4 to grapple checks.

Kobold Endurance actually add +4 to all strength and con based checks, so it's a pretty good feat for any combat style. But also handy for grappling.

I am playing a Kobold Shapeshifting Tripper with it, and IIRC Tiny McBig Huge Large uses this to be even better at tripping.

Nice find, I'll add them.  Kobold Endurance is not very useful for a grappler in general, though, since you are a kobold and therefore small... it basically bumps you back up to medium.

Much like Clever Wrestling, Kobold Endurance only grants the bonus on checks made to escape a grapple or pin. Other than Endurance-type effects, Kobold Endurance only adds to Strength and Con ability checks (not even -based checks, but specifically ability checks and specifically excluding skill checks). Regardless, a grapple check is not a Strength check, so it will only grant the bonus to escape (as specifically stated in the feat).

It's still good for tripping and bull rushing, though.

Attention Handbook Writers! If you wish to openly discuss your handbook in an easily-accessible location, please start a thread in this section (Do not do so in the Handbooks section), and then reply to this thread. Doing so is not required, but handbooks exist for the purpose of compiling useful information regarding the 3.X system. Such handbooks would do well to have a discussion thread.

Choke Hold is a great feat for a grappler. It's from Oriental Adventures. Currently playing a ghost-based telekinetic grappler with it in the Arena of Ascension on mythweavers. :D
