Didn't he already? That was his action last round, pulling out and using the sunrod. There should be light out to 20 squares now.

I suddenly wish I was another 5 feet back, starting off the round.  :lol

No, he had said he would be out and to not hold up the round before last. I went and posted Shandien's action which included a readied action that fired at the same time yours did last round. Bart posted again during last round which I then pushed to the top of round 5 where it belonged. Since I figured you were waiting for the light I went ahead and had your turn delay a tad until after Shandien and everyone else waiting for the hall to light up now can resolve their actions this round if able.

You could get there at running speed. Just step back another square as part of the move.

Eh, I don't think taking a -5 on attacks and granting combat advantage is worth simply being next to the goblin. Sure, I could get an OA if he tries to jump away, but it'll be nearly impossible for me to hit him thanks to the to-hit penalty. I'll just have to back up and jump across and then double move, then try to catch up on the next round. With the possible exception of finding out what in the next doorway, or around the next corner...

How far down is this pit?

Deep enough for you not to see the bottom from the 5 feet away where you stand yet not deep enough to kill a goblin that fell into it.

Looks like my readied action doesn't go off, that goblin is pretty far away.

So did I just totally confound everyone with this rounds initiative order changes? If so what do we need clarified?

Based on the below, we know Tanthalus' readied action would not fire, will he continue to wait until there is a monster in range, or does he want to take his original spot in the order again and act normally later this round?

Since my action didn't go off I thought I'd continue to wait and if something pops up before my turn I shoot it and my initiative changes, if not I go on my turn.

At least that's how readied actions (as I understand them) worked in 3.5E.

K. I modified the recent post to put you back down in the original position, unless something happens in the interim that will cause your action to trigger.

@bhu, I removed the post eluding to the need for a new thread from the in-game thread because it is an out of character post. Since the entire combat is not likely to finish soon, we will finish out the round and then move it to a new thread.
