Kwah-Yah grins with satisfaction, having been able to defeat his enemies and prevail once more. He washes his wounds with a little bit of water from one of his waterskins, and picks up his trident, slinging it across his back once more.

After cleaning himself up a bit and reclaiming his equipment, he hastens towards the direction Zero was headed too, hoping to catch up with his comrade.

After recomposing himself a bit, he addresses Zero

Yeah... That's the realm of dread for you. Kwah-Yah spits on the floor.

Do you want to keep going, or do you think we should head back and reunite with Valrin? It's been a while, and he hasn't catched up with us yet. Not normal, even if he is riding piggyback.

(( Zero - actually you didn't lose his trail, you managed to find his tracks on the ground. you just have to use your wings to part some of the mist first.))

Zero swoops over to pick up the brooch that he swiped off of the fat man, before Kwah-yah exploded him. It looks to be made of a rat skull, but with the texture and feel of a leaf. It's very strange indeed... you can't tell if its actually a skull, or a leaf. Possibly both?

((go a head and make INT checks or something equivalent to remember something about it. a knowledge local could work.))

Zero flys back towards where he had previously chased the shadowy rat. He swoops back and forth near the ground, flapping hard and trying to clear the mist away. He can easily see the trail that the rat is leaving, but also he can hear the beast moving near the far side of the room. It seems to be retreating to the exiting tunnels that lead further out into the labyrinths that network the surrounding areas.

currently alphonse is directly infront of the exit tunnel, mercutio is flying in the air flanking mott who is on the ground bleeding infront of alphonse. riek is down on the main level in the hall, with a scared shitless gevyen clinging to his leg like a baby. ))

Riek stands ready, but waits to see if Mott gives up fighting. Meanwhile he charges his mind arrow with more psychic energy.

Mercutio tries again to rid Mott of the evil dagger.

Rolled 1d20+14 : 15 + 14, total 29
(includes +1 for higher ground, +2 flanking, +4 bardic music; Mott gets a -4 on his opposed attack roll to resist due to being prone)

This dice roll has been tampered with!
Rolled 1d20+14 : 15 + 14, total 29 (includes +1 for higher ground, +2 flanking, +4 bardic music; Mott gets a -4 on his opposed attack roll to resist due to being prone)

((That's an opposed attack roll for a Disarm attempt, right?  In that case, Mott takes another -4 for using a light weapon and you get a +2 for using a whip.  I'm not sure you get to count the +2 from flanking though, cuz you don't technically threaten any squares with a whip As it turns out, you don't actually need to threaten the square to get the flanking bonus.  Only the person you're flanking with does - so Alphonse wouldn't get flanking, but Mercutio does :rolleyes.))

((Mercutio is actually using a whip-dagger, which does threaten. You're right that I did forget the +2 from the whip, and -4 to Mott for using a light weapon, though. :D ))
