There are no true dragons with negative energy damage breath weapon, I checked.

The closest thing available is a feat called Breath of Unlife (Dragons of Fearun, p. 47), which deal half of breath weapon damage as negative energy damage. This feat requires being undead, like dracolich or skeletal dragon te mplates.

If you need this for something like Dragonfire Strike, I seem to recall seeing somewhere that basing it off a Shadow Dragon's breath weapon would get you negative energy damage.

Bugger if I can remember where I saw that, though.

Rebuking Breath spell from Draconomicon:  "You imbue your breath weapon with negative energy that rebukes undead in its area."  The weaopn still does its normal damage, but now is "imbued" with negative energy.  Will that work for what you need?

Yeah, Dragonfire Inspiration. If you remember let me know.

Unfortunately that probably wont cut it.

For now I am using Cold, sense most of the Undead being used are Immune or Resistant to it.

Even if there was a source, it wouldn't work for Dragonfire Inspiration.

Special: If you have the Draconic Heritage feat or if you are a half-dragon, the extra damage is of the energy type (acid, cold, electricity, fire, or sonic) that corresponds to your heritage or your draconic parent instead. It your feat or your parent is not associated with one of these energy types, this feat has no effect for you.
I'm not arguing, I'm explaining why I'm right.

Out of curiosity, how would that work for Chaos dragons?  Their breath weapon is random each time they use it.

I think you'd deal a random damage type?

Pyroclastic Dragons are still the best, since their breath weapon deals Fire/Sonic. Pull out Fire against Trolls and the like, Sonic against pretty much anything else.
