So my coworkers inexplicably continue to come out to me.  One as a furry and a bigot, and another as a former enforcer for a local drug dealer.  wtf is it about me that says to people "I can tell him shit I shouldn't say to other people."

Got food poisoning from Braum's last week on Tuesday.  Called up there and let them know.
I ordered:
5 Jr Cheeseburgers
1 Double Quarter Pounder (Cut in half)(to split with my wife)
2 Double Hot Fudge Sundaes

Now seeing as Only my wife and I ate the Double Quarter Pounder and my toddler son didn't get sick (just my wife and I) I deduced that the DQP was what made us sick.  They gave me an attitude and told me they would only do a regular QP.  So I call the 1-800 number, contact the Facebook page, and email them and after one week I have had no response.  All I wanted was a damn apology and maybe some compensation for the grief I was given.

Moral of the story:  Don't go to Braum's, they don't give a shit about their customers. :shakefist

Opioid tolerant patient came in the other night claiming chest pain / CVA / PE depending on who spoke to him. Kept requesting pain medicine, and got it, but conveniently decided we all were incompetent and he was fine when we tried transferring him to a neurologist. He ended up AMA'ing out after suckering 16mg of morphine out of the ER doctor within an hour and his wife was a total ass the entire time. After he signed the paperwork through, and was still refusing to be transferred, he kept asking for more morphine.

Was something serious going on? Who knows, I'm boiling some details down here but I suggested a nice tall vial of stfu almost an hour before the doc started talking about it and by then it was a little too late.

Eh we get drug seekers all the time the rant is about the doctor as well as the patient.

Patient and all staff recommendations aside. We had another 4mg drawn up, twenty in total, to give him. Between work up and the rounds of nitro before hand, if that last round was given it would have put him at a rate near 7mg every fifteen minutes exceeding hospital protocol. And we give it in a maximum of 4mg increments in the ER so the doctor was willing to try a fifth round of a drug that apparently was doing nothing. What the hell are they teaching in Medical School these days? >.>

The doctor was a total chump. I can only hope that since the patient was on Medicaid and AMA'ed out someone up the ladder will complain about the lost charges.

When a cool anarchist YouTuber you used to watch slowly turns into a tankie.

When the forces of nature continually conspire to to run aground your weekend tabletop games.

When you try getting into Twitter but are too afraid to make a hashtag for any political topic at risk of drawing the attention of crazies.

When that "Book of Erotic Fantasy for Pathfinder" KickStarter you backed delivers its PDF but has really unsexy art.

I'm drowning in mortgage red tape and misinformation.

Breakdown: My brother and I are on SSI. My sister is not. We need to move as soon as we can due to the senior members of our family becoming violent with old age and the local police/social services refusing to do anything because they are still sane enough to hide their behaviour around the authorities.

We found an amazing house at an equally amazing price, but it's STILL too high for our Debt:Income ratio. We'd need to make around $2500 combined to meet it, and would need to put together around 10k for closing costs and other bullshit. Meanwhile, SSI forbids us from having more than $2000 saved. There are exceptions, and I'm going to be talking to them tomorrow, but the mountains of red tape keep growing.

NOPE. Mortgage lender is telling me that expected rental income doesn't qualify as income for Debt:income ratio, despite just being told otherwise by an underwriter. Without that, I would have to put everyone on the mortgage directly, which would require them to all have great credit (most of them have no credit at all, meaning below average when it comes to lenders)
