Ok, so Temotei finally posted the contest, and I posted Extractor and the first 11 soulmelds (still have 18 to write).  Here it is, for your perusal and approval.  It's almost certainly tier 3 at the max, more likely high 4.
Looks like a cool class, one thing I found I didn't like was the random projected Cohort. You should probably mention details related to the Cohort's items, melds, and what kind of encounters trigger it (I walked into a trap, poof clone appeared and cast a spell from a wand on me!) but personally I just don't like it. I also think it's T3 rather than high T4, besides the self clone it does have mass ally buffs and Save-or-Dies (the sand cloak thing).

Well, I figured the rules for the cohort would probably change from campaign to campaign, so I didn't want to get too specific...

Also, the trap thing, it's not going to cast a spell on you because it starts out friendly... but I guess it depends on how you define an encounter.  I dunno...

Soro, I want to play a Shifter Barbarian 1/ Monk 3/ Ranger 1/ Fist of the Forest 3/ Wildrunner 2/ Frostrager 5/ Weretouched Master (erratad version is fine) 5.  Will the Barbarian, Fist of the Forest, and Wildrunner's rages all be useable unlimited times/day with a five minute cooldown between uses?  What about the Shifter's shifting ability?
I have it written as base classes, mostly because there are PrC abilities that should remain X/day. So you answer that question I'd have to really look into those classes.

I can say I know Wildrunner has like 3+Con uses so there isn't much of a reason to grant extra uses in the ideal 4 encounter model as you most likely can freely use it when needed anyway.

Wildrunner has 3+Cha uses (so three).  Fist of the Forest's is 2/day.  Shifter's shifting is 1/day+1/2 shifter feats taken.

Currntly, I'm thinking on gishing with the Blue Mage, with a few utility spells. Should I pick basic stuff like Power Attack, or rely on Mirror move to get that from someone in the party?

@SorO: if the BM applies a Metamagic spell to a spell, does the casting time becomes a full round action?

Below is a sketch of what I'm thinking so far:

Edit: sketch done...

You know, I'm going with no.

If you think about it. Giving a little to the weakest classes in the game isn't a big deal and in this case it's aimed towards using those semi-unique mechanic more than once-a-never in the lower levels when you cannot afford to "buy" more uses. Or at least that's where that little cheap wannabe fix is coming from.

Now you have several mechanics there that actually tapers down.
Encounter 1: Rage + Wild Scream + Feral Trance + Shifter
Encounter 2: Rage + Wild Scream + Feral Trance
Encounter 3: Rage + Wild Scream
Encounter 4: Rage
Or via mixed use lets you have 2~3 of those effects for every encounter. And this is excluding Waretouched Master which will add even more.

You're not lacking your primary feature, you're lacking the ability to nova every encounter which is another story entirely. So, nah. You'll be fine.

***

@Risada, Like other spontaneous casters, using a metamagic feat changes the action required to cast a spell, however the Blue Mage may still gain the benefit of the quicken spell feat.

So... if SirP doesn't feel like playing his Extractor at all the different levels of this game, I'd be happy to fill in for him.

Alternatively, I could play his Lucid Projection.  :lmao

That's what I figured.  I don't want five different stat blocks for four separate level groups so I'm going to go with a different build.

Edit: I'm thinking something along the lines of Wild-Shape Ranger 5/ Primeval/ other stuff or Barbarian/ Bear Warrior/ other stuff.

I'm an idiot.  I just need to revise my build to not have a bajillion rages.  Working on that now.

Soro, how much of an issue might the Fist of the Forest's primal living class feature be (can't buy food or sleep in non-natural surroundings more than 3/month)?  I'm thinking of dropping the class just because of that now that I'm adjusting the build.

Not a major one.

If you tack on a custom of ritualistic begging native to you FoF people when attending a dinner hosted by someone else and slept outside in a tree you'd be meeting things word for word with a flavor attachment. FoF even has special circumstances permitted, like if you're in a dungeon crawl where running outside for a nap means face planting on a dozen traps or the King absolutely requires you to sleep in his castle('s basement *wink*).

So unless you're going out of your way to violate things, I very much doubt you'd break it.

Sounds good to me, especially since there aren't very many good Monk unarmed strike progressing prestige classes out there.

I think I'm going to go: Barbarian 1/ Monk 3/ Ranger 1/ Fist of the Forest 3/ Deepwarden 7/ Frostrager 5 (but not in that order).  Do Superior Unarmed Strike and Monk's Belt stack?

Awesome!  I think that's the only question I had.  When do you want sheets up by?

Basically the game its self is waiting on characters. So you have until you're the last one before they start PMing you to hurry up?

Given that since everyone is pretty much making 4 characters, I honestly pegged things for January. Everyone will be busy around Christmas anyway. But surprises can happen and it just might(?).

Standard WBL for the higher level builds?

Just let me finish my essays/presentations/programming that I've got due to class ending, and I'll have everything up.

SorO, how does Reserve feats work with the BM? As long as I have a slot, I can use the feat?

Probably.

Better question, why would you take a Reserve Feat?

I didn't see that you have a level four build.  So I'm second most prepared since statting up a level one commoner will be super easy.   :P

I'll take that to mean yes to standard WBL until told otherwise.

Edit: I do have another question.  Does the natural weapon effective size increase from Improved Natural Attack stack with the natural weapon effective size increases from Frostrager?  I'm guessing no just to keep things from getting too crazy.

By the way, InnaBinder, your level 4+ snapshots don't have to include the level in expert.

Sor0, do you mind if I change my build to an Old Human (just a place-holder until I settle on a more appropriate race) Expert 1/Ranger 1/Monk (Stately Ancient Sifu ACF) 3/Unrepentant Pact-Bound Hunter 10/X 5 (curse you persistently blank final levels!)

Maybe with a few more ACFs on the monk?

He's a Wuxia Sorcerer-Monk! The best kind of Monk!

He'd be using Glorious Mystic Fist to get into Unrepentant Pact-Bound Hunter, and will also be taking Ascetic Hunter (because it is sexy as hell)
