The minotaur nodded as his hands slowly fell from his swords. "I am here to meet with an old friend. I owe her a favor."

With a sudden viscous smile, Kipper screamed at the top of her lungs.

"Alshen, help! They're bad guys!" she shrieked.

His eyes growing wide with surprise, the minotaur drew his two blades, readied for battle. "Without question," he snarled.

The dwarf simply remained in his defensive stance. Facing the minotaur, readying himself for battle.

Snapping back to what he was supposed to be doing Uube really wants to beam some kobolds in the head with some heavy stones.

Wanting to protect her friends as best she could, Nami leaped into battle against the minotaur.

Alth knew minotaurs were difficult to surprise, but he had finally gotten enough experience that he could work with it.

He spent a swift action to channel a daily use of his Ki Power (going from 4 to 3) to become invisible, then moved a few feet while drawing his bow and finally used a standard action to fire an arrow.

The shot went wildly off course, coming closer to hitting Nami than Alshen. The masked minotaur struck down at the young woman with his twin blades, while simultaneously the monk aimed a swift kick at her assailant's chest in hopes of stunning him.

Nami narrowly sidestepped Alshen's downward stroke, but the minotaur quickly blocked her kick with his forearm. His off-hand blade slid across her upper arm, leaving a shallow cut.

Uube's up.

Uube drops his rocks and as he leaps over he draws the innocent "walking stick" from his back and swings it at the cow-enemy.

Uube leapt up and slammed his staff into the minotaur's shoulder. Alshen let out a roar of pain and staggered with the blow, but he did not fall.

Nalbin inflicted a mighty blow ... to the air. The minotaur let out a single low chuckle.

Alth sighed in dismay as his attack missed, but he knew the stakes here and was not going to allow the minotaur to continue its assault.  He spent another use of his Ki power to become invisible and again moved and fired an arrow.

Alth's arrow embedded itself into Alshen's shoulder, and the minotaur groaned in pain. Nami drew her short blade and aimed a quick attack at the minotaur's chest. Simultaneously, Alshen split the focus of his attacks as he aimed his right blade at Uube while striking at Nami with his left blade.

Uube has a look of surprise and disbelief as the cow-man's blade slices into his chest and clear out to the side.
As he falls, with the remnants of his right lung, he says, "At least I made a friend..."

"Ye'll pay fer that cow!" Was all that was said as a neck-height slash was issued from both Dolard and Ovik. Best not to focus on the lose of a comrade in the middle of battle, there would be time to mourn later.

Alshen wrenched his blade out of Uube's chest and effortlessly blocked the dwarf's attacks. He shot Nalbin an icy glare before returning his attention to Nami.
