Thriller Zombies are more agile zombies infused with the magic of dance. Thriller Zombies often use maneuvers to position entire groups through a single, choreographed dance step.
"Thriller Zombie" is an inherited template that can be added to any undead creature with the Single Actions Only ability. If the creature ever loses the Single Actions Only ability, it also loses the Thriller Zombie template.
Size and Type: The creature’s type remains unchanged. It uses all the base creature’s statistics and special abilities except as noted here.
Special Attacks: A Thriller Zombie retains all of the base creature’s special attacks. It also gains the following special attacks:
Maneuvers: A Thriller Zombie knows a small number of martial maneuvers, each of which can be initiated once per encounter. Any Thriller Zombie knows the
Formation March maneuver. A Thriller Zombie with at least 10 HD also knows the
Squad March Maneuver. A Thriller Zombie with at least 20 HD also knows the
Battle March maneuver. A Thriller Zombie's initiator level is equal to half its Hit Dice, as normal.
Dance-Fighting (Ex): A Thriller Zombie gains the Skirmish ability of a Scout of one half its Hit Dice (minimum 1st). However, due to their dancing movement, Thriller Zombies are unable to perform the charge action, including partial charges.
In addition, Thriller Zombies can dance as part of any movement, even in combat (not that this does anything).
Special Qualities: A Thriller Zombie retains all of the base creature’s special qualities. It also gains the following special qualities:
Feel the Beat (Ex): Despite being immune to mind-affecting effects, Thriller Zombies are still affected by morale bonuses and penalties derived from non-mind-affecting effects, and any such modifiers to their Perform (dance) checks are doubled.
Abilities: A Thriller Zombie's Dexterity increases by +2 and its Charisma increases by +4.
Skills: A Thriller Zombie gains a +10 racial bonus on Perform (dance) checks. In addition, they can take 10 on Perform (dance) checks, even while threatened or distracted.
Challenge Rating: As base creature +1.
