[5E] Inspiration points and FATE style compel system
« on: August 28, 2014, 04:09:20 PM »
I'm toying with the idea to expand the inspiration point mechanism with the fate point system from FATE. Traits, ideals, bonds and flaws seem made for compels and the buy and sell mechanism of FATE.

Anyone have any insights of the chance of success of transplanting this mechanism into dnd?

idk, but I figure anything up to High E6 and 3rd level spells, can be smushed in.
The only consideration being "when", or how long it takes for stuff roll in.

I'm thinking Homebrew-for-now Psi might fit on the Warlock, especially with it's recharging Slots bit.
Heck some things are almost the same as 3e.
