... larger than colossal ...

Well, they almost managed to scrub the 3.0e stuff out of it.
The SRD has the leftovers.  There used to be Colossal++ and
Colossal+++ and it kept going. "Colossal+" consolidates the ever
increasing plus-es into the one category. You do get something.
You don't get much.

What crafting skill would make a Monk's... weapon... masterwork?
It's kinda like Craft (basketweaving) ... but it involves cheesier music,
you have to "quench" it in a liquid, and most people find it sizzling.
 :eh

Yeah, like give up something to get something
except maybe not so calculated.
Flaw = feat ... is a start.
Vo(get rid of everything good)P = get a bunch of numbers
... but not all that balanced.

I don't eat meat --- isn't a problem for
Minor Creation and a recharge set-up,
or an Elan.

Old 1e Clerics couldn't cause blood to be shed,
so they had to use Bludgeoning weapons only.
4e-type game gets around this with few problems.

It's gotta have more bite.

Legends of the Heroes / Re: Expanding the planes of Eberron
« on: January 24, 2012, 05:43:19 PM »
The 3e versions of the 2e Planescape stuff,
was usually rather thin. You could basically
straight-hack Eberron onto 3e Planescape.
It would increase the amount of material,
without being quite so "extravagant" like 2e.
 ;)

Fernia = almost a Devil's daughter's name
and the 2e plane has fire ... lots of fire.
I mean, that's not stretching things very much.

Dal Quor / Xoriat ... who's to say the Plane Of Dream
is not somehow an actual part of the Far Realms?

etc ...

One way to handle all this, is to have all the linkages
of Eberron be like the Yggdrasil or the Infinite Staircase.
Perhaps it is the Orrery Plane, except writ large (literally).

Or, you could make him a flimsy character that LOOKS invincible, but really he's only there because he's equipped with stuff the group would like to have but is hard to actually find.

Or you could make him a warforged monk with tons of Con with a necklace of natural weaponry, Ancestral Relic, Item Familiar, a tooth of Leraje, and some levels in kensai. He won't want a "more powerful" weapon when he's got a +25 unarmed strike.

Wait-a-minute ... this is awfully close to that Monk that throws itself back and forth across the battlefield.
You know, this one  :lmao
How's he gonna handle that ?

 :) ... I hadn't been to that site in quite a while.

There are so many quirks to 1e, that I doubt they have everything
figured out so far. Getting a whole new batch of people trying to make
"sense" of 1e ... and using that tricky Interwebs thingie = very good.

D&D 3.5 and Pathfinder / Re: How much wealth available in D&D Cities
« on: January 23, 2012, 06:55:30 PM »
The whole money thing is (still) rather weird.

If you have the town build rules 91% Commoner 1s,
and each one of them is worth or has (somehow) the 900gp,
the total money available is off ; like waayyy off.

hmm ... a Code Of Conduct doesn't have to be at Paladin Level to be a useful rp device.

extreme = LG Paladin
serious = old Druid
traditional = Cleric of philosophy
middling = Wu Jen like, make your own
indifferent = neutral, as in not Neutral believes in The Balance, just blah

You could upgrade the Old Druid to Extreme
by doubling the list of tricky behaviors to do.
Then reward that with a set of abilities,
like transfer Wildshape to Animal Companion.

I have a white-haired Uncle near the Mississippi delta region.
Considers himself to be Mr. Republican and ultra-conservative.

I'm'n'a have to call him and tease him a bit ...  ;)

He campaigned for Rand Paul.
He campaigned for Newt back in the day, and thinks he's a hero.
His #1 issue is a Santorum specialty.
And his real background is the older business moderate wing
... so he had been chatting up Romney for the last 2 years.
But if you catch him in an un-"movement"-guarded moment,
he ends up taking a NY or PA catholic moderate position,
on just about every issue.
He won't be able to make up his mind which guy to vote for.
Or worse if a 3rd party centrist actually runs.

VoP Troll ?
Someone performs the SS ritual, that makes it qualify for Dwarf-y stuff.

specifically disallowed in the text.
:( ... no blessings from the Troll Cleric, for all the Troll children he saved from acid ?

hmm ... now there's gonna hafta be a (re-) 1e C.O. board, eh ?!

The much more recent idea of "the math just works"
is not something that applies to 1e ... don't bother.
Still, the lineage is clear. And psionics ...  :)
Some of the 3.5e+errata spells, are direct ports
sometimes word for word via 1e to 2e to 3e.
I liked it back in the day, warts and all.

gleith --- make a Monk for the campaign were going to start playing on the days a few of our members cannot come (about every other day, starting tomorrow)

Are you saying this will be your #1 character ??
Or are you saying your party mates won't be there, so this'll be the fill-in character,  your #2 ??

Monk 2 / Wilder X with Tash and recharge but no PsyRef abuse =
rather simple build that keeps up, but doesn't require lots of attention.

So I use google cache ; problem solved.
...the protest page explained how to turn it off.

EDIT: Might as well link the previous threads here.

Heck, I didn't get "that" far into it.

The bill is suspended ... those goofy Congress jargon words
don't mean what people normally think them to mean.
It ain't over yet.

I should punt. No, there "officially" isn't one.
Perhaps too many statistically improbable phrases got my attention.

otoh - could be a Prophecy, eh ?
 ;)
It's not much of a reach, to say there will be one soon enough.
