Holy nods.

You both start walking again. And again and again and again. Your legs don't feel tired at all, though. Maybe that's what walking through nothingness is like?

The next place you find looks like it was a proper camp. Its old and dilapidated now, though. Its buildings are covered over in ivy-like darkness and its Gates have broken and crumbled. Its pillar is dead, like the last one.

"Oh, this place looks old..." Louise approaches a nearby building to examine the ivy-like darkness to see if it is the same as the filigree, or perhaps more like voidstuff. "What happens to the buildings? do they evenually return to nothing?"

The darkness seems to be the same as the darkness rooting the buildings in your camp in place. There's just a lot more of it. Its not hard like the filigree.

Louise begins surveying the buildings in more detail, entering them and looking for anything that may be of use.

"That's understandable. this vine stuff looks like some of the stuff at our camp, but given more time to grow. It's kinda scary to think of how long this has been going on."

There doesn't appear to be anything particularly useful here. No fragments, at least. You do find a couple of scraps of paper, though.

Louise glances down at the scraps of the paper. She frowns deeply and places the scraps in a pocket. She offers a quick silent prayer for the members here.

"It is to me. to think that this sort of thing has been going on for so long. Worlds destroyed and rebuilt from the void by surviving members. I want to find out what's causing this to happen. I mean, what if our world has gone through this more than once, what if each time we bring back our world it is the start of a new age. Even without thinking of that, it's still scary that so many people are forced to go through this. I don't think there is anything else here. Let's try somewhere else."

Sitting on the dead pillar is a young woman, probably a bit younger than you. She appears to be wearing a school uniform, much like the faceless were in the School of Rust.

Louise becomes slightly less tense. "Louise. Were you a member of this camp?" Her hand slips into her pocket to touch the paper scraps. Louise Looks at Sam.

Sam's doesn't appear any different than she did without the look. No faint golden glow, though.
