SirP mentioned in the OOC thread that he'll probably be too busy to do much updating until wednesday or thursday.

So we've got until then to come up with the hook that leads to our characters being sponsored as a team for the games.

Do you have any thoughts about Cat Burglar guilds in Gratis, bhu? How they interact with the various affiliations and such?

If it works, we could all be affiliated with or contacted by the same CB guild who wants a team for the games for some reason.

Who has Magi connections that could get us a sponsor? I'm Inverted Pyramid and their membership draws liberally from the Magi so that's one possibility. My character would probably be pretty happy to compete in the games if it meant being part of a Cat Burglar group again.

Incidently, I'm out of state and possibly away from computer from thursday through sunday so if that's when we go up I may not be able to chime in for a few days. I will if I have the time and internet access.

The most obvious matches are The Delvers Guild (who might be seen as competition), The Forsaken/The Fallen if you have one of teh evil PrC's, the Dreaming Apothecary if you have one of the Craft PrC's, House of Black and WHite, the Red Lotus.

Least likely would be City Watch, Sisterhood of Silence, the Magi, Praesidio Arcanum, Church of the Dark God, Corrun Char, both crime families, and teh Order of teh Dawn.

So maybe somebody floated the idea of entering the games? I could see us getting a sponsorship mostly for comedy value. Nobody thinks the team of misfits and pussycats could possibly be a serious threat but they might be good for a laugh or two.

To tie our characters together, CB guild connections should be enough. Fuzzynutz went looking for a few good kitties and found us.

Yup.  Lets fire this sucker up!

It suddenly occurred to me how odd it'd be to have a dyslexic moment with that.  "Sire this fucker up."

Oops, I forgot.  Sorry guys!  I'll get this up soon.

It's going to be a little sillier than the rest of them... I hope you don't mind.

What definition of"soon" are you using?  Hopefully not the one Blizzard Entertainment uses.

I also hope I'm not the only one who gets that...

Just busy.  Winter meeting of my thesis advisory committee is coming up, and I have to finish the new draft of my paper by tomorrow.

I feel you, I've got similar end of semester crunch stuff going on. Good luck, and take all the time you need. We'll still be here when the rush is over.
