I'm currently torn between good kitty, the Familiar, pixie kitty, or feral

Anyone got preferences?

Bhu, was there any particular reason for making Alley Cat require Trap Sense instead of 2d6 sneak attack like Daring Outlaw does?  There's a lot of good rogue ACFs such as Penetrating Strike that trade Trap Sense away.

I would say Good Kitty, personally, but depends on your leanings. There ought to be enough roleplaying to give that time to be fruitful.

Also, I'm working on my Phantom Cat right now, haven't forgotten that.

Same here, I think. I might even push it back to 8 so I can pick up that 6th level of Harrowed.

You guys mind if i ask for occasional ops help?  The people I've traditionally played with have banned 'power gaming' so I'm pretty sure my skills are not what they could be...

Well wizards or clerics are strong w/e you do with them so you shouldn`t have much problems :D

jokes aside. My rule knowledge is a little rusty atm but I can try to help if you give more specifics.Normally I am not bad with optimization.

My current thoughts:

Feral uses up two of my three feats unless i take flaws, and will basically be straight cat burglar for 6 levels.  I wont get casting till we get a level, and then I'll be starting out at bottom.

Good Kitty still uses 2 feats, i lose a caster level to get kitty form, and when we level up the first level of the prc isnt casting.

The Familiar only loses i feat and caster level

Pixie Kitty: At least 3 levels of cat burglar and uses all 3 feats.  But i get one spell per level of the PrC i can cast as a Supernatural ability, and Im size class fine making me damn hard to hit.

I'm leaning more towards the last 2 since this is a competition.

First:You should always take the maximum number of flaws. That is not an even trade. It is pretty much always a bargain.

Pixie Kitty:I think you need 4 levels of cat burglar since you gain pixie form at level 4.The way it is written you cant chose another kitty form, other than the standard form, until you reach level 4.
Quote
At levels 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, and 19 you gain an additional Kitty Forms from the following list
And you didn`t metion that you can take 1 of those forms at level 1 in addition to the standard one.If you are able take pixie kitten on level 1 I have to rework my feats a little  :tongue (Powerlevel wise it probably shouldn`t be available on level 1 since +10 dex and fine size for a 1 level dip seems pretty over the top.)
I originally wanted to walk in pixie form around but yeah....And you only use up 2 feats, no?
Quote
Feats:  Fey Heritage, 1 Luck Feat
But still I think Pixie Kitty is by far the strongest of the 3 options.

Thinking this for stats:

Str 10
Dex 16
Con 12
Int 16
Wis 14
Cha 18 +1 for 4th level

Feats

Human: Sly Fortune or Lucky Start
1: Fey Heritage
3: Jibba Jabba
6: Fey Presence or Advantageous Avoidance

Cat Burglar 4/Pixie Kitty 2

For the 4th level Beguiler spell Im thinking either Freedom of Movement, Solid Fog, Charm Monster, Greater Invisibility, Greater Mirror Image, or Phantom Battle.  Any preferences?

Maybe some one else has some ideas about what spell to chose(or even if pixie is the strongest) but imo you should mainly play what you like.So Chose the spell that you like I don`t have any preferences regarding that.

But, as I told before, you definitively should take 2 Flaws. It is always a VERY good deal.

Even if that means I enrage the sirP, as a Race probably mageblooded unseelie fey would be more beneficial than human optimization wise.

I may switch to familiar.  My concern is as Pixie Kitty, I have no real offense whatsoever unless i get some magic items.  With the right spells however I could support the group nicely.

Well, my character is up but not yet fully completed.  He's going to mostly be a social skillkitty, yet I'm wondering just how well he might be able to do in that role.  Likewise, I'm kinda worried about his combat potential, but I'll have to go through his options in both humanoid and kitty forms.  Chances are he'll be doing more damage as a kitty thanks to Weapon Finesse applying to damage too, plus the whole bit about being in the same square counting as flanking so I can get some SA damage or effects based on that as well.

Okay, so far I've got a Cat Burglar 1/Harrowed 5. Would have tricked my way into Phantom Cat early with the Forced Harrowing feat, but I can't even take that until I would qualify normally, so bleh.

Right now my harrowings are pushing me toward a stealthy playstyle. I have effective HiPS, darkness at-will and the ability to see through it, pseudo-sneak attack, pounce in cat form, etcetera. In a level or two when I get into Phantom Cat, all my natural attacks in cat form will carry a negative level rider, which is awesome. I wanted to squeeze in Piercing Energy to help negate energy resistance, but that'll have to wait, unfortunately.

I do need to pick an energy type for Tenebrous Touch, though. Suggestions?
