My character's entire motivation for this trip, mark aside, is 'I am a samurai and there is nothing to fight'. :lmao

My character would still be happily torturing dwarves for Empress Jengu if he weren't marked.  :lmao

He might try to find some purpose in his life by seeing it as his duty to find out what the hell went wrong and report back to her somehow, though... Hmm... (He's going to be a very pedantic person who likes routine, and will be thrown WAY out of his comfort zone by being compelled to leave his comfy job back home and trek across the world to an uncertain fate).

Hmm... maybe I should RP him like House... (a complete asshole, but insanely perceptive and very knowledgeable). Also, I could totally see House torturing people and not feeling bad about it at all, if that was part of his job description. :P

Come work for me. I'll let you put the skills you can't mention to use because your Empress surely doesn't seem to be needing them right now in this unfortunate time of peace :D

Just remember that careless murderousness is not the best option when there's a paladin present. :rolleyes

Hm, is she actually empowered by Jingu, or some nebulous force of 'good'? Her opinion is the same either way, but the cosmological signifance isn't. XD

What careless murdererousness? Proper care is always taken when on the job! People could get sued if there were a lack of regulation! :D

Speaking of, I'm looking to hire an attorney  to handle our business contracts  :lmao

Don't worry. My character is used to being around the Empress' "knights", and so knows how to be discreet, and also he's a good enough healer to leave no scars after he finishes torturing someone. :P

I am imagining a highly compartmentalized bureaucracy in the Empire, where the "goodly" sections either don't know at all about the "evil" sections, or just choose to overlook/disbelieve it.

Rumor-mongering peasant: Did you know that the Empire's healers are also torturers?
Knight/Paladin: Nonsense!

Isn't a paladin a good enough proofreader? :p

I AM THE EMBODIMENT OF HONOUR. Followed by morals. Well, strictly speaking morals comes first, but if there's a big enough conflict between the two, Akemi is more likely to break before she works out which is supposed to come first.

I may be drunk. Somewhat. My arms don't feel like much at all. @_@

It's hardly proper grammatical integrity that I wish to measure the practicality of the experience being brought to the table by those individuals  who seek employment with me  :P

A paladin's ominous sense of paranoia where violation of a contract is concerned surely supersedes experience of inadequate individuals in the initiation of individually awkward contracts?

They are essentially the same, lest the GM decide it fair to accidentally strip me of all class abilities due to my reality-bound lack of telepathic skill.

Well you see, paladin or not, how is the grumpy law abiding dwarf suppose to trust what he can't himself see?
Word of god is still just words to everybody else  :smirk

In my organization, trust is earned gradually and fairly to all viable underlings! Not just because you volunteer to answer all question within a Zone of Truth  :cool

Dorfs: ketero starts with 2cat in his inventory for free.

So I just added Cultural Weapons with the idea I was speaking about previously about the katana and making it martial.  I tried to give every area two weapons, with restrictions on what I could do.  I want you guys to look over it, if you think its a good idea, and if possible what I could fit in those two missing spots I have.  You'd think the dwarves would be easy but it turns out there aren't many picks, axes, and hammers which aren't unusually exotic or overly useful (so far I found anyway), and I tried not to make the racial weapons (dwarven X, elven Y) one of them so not to step on their toes.  Ideas anyone?

Just remember that careless murderousness is not the best option when there's a paladin present. :rolleyes

Nebulous force of good, but they probably tell you it comes from the God-Empress herself.

I think Berid is from Promotor. "Wild West" theme, services going to the highest bidder (alignment=TN). More often contracted by people in Medved than Jingu, but has worked for both sides at various points (and, maybe even both sides at the same time once or twice... ;);)).

Medved should have martial proficiency in repeating crossbows so that they can ride their bears into battle spraying bulle--bolts in every and all directions hands free :D

You know I totally forgot they have (fantasy) tanks, so it makes sense for them to have smaller ballistics too.  That, and close proximity to Promotor.  Taking that.

Bears are now the official mount of Medved.  RIDE ME CLOSER!  I WANT TO HIT THE GOBLINS IN THE FACE!!!
Mudada.
