The Other Half is my longest lasting PbP campaign. Over the course of 4 years, the party has battled corrupt angels, broke a slaad conspiration, made business in Sigil and is currently inside an Inevitable factory plant that was taken over by corrupted elements, seeking to turn back the production of rampaging robots.

Alas, many of the party members have fallen in battle, chose to retire or were called to other purposes. New members steped in here and there, but eventually they too left. Currently the party sits at a precarious 3 members, plus one that hasn't show any activity for too much time.

So, I'm here to search for brave new players willing to help save the multiverse.

The current boards.

Mmm, I'll have plenty of time from Friday onwards for something like this, I just need to rack my brain for a non-gestalt idea.

Might play a Shrine Maiden, if that's acceptable. Not sure what to do with her other school, honestly. Might just focus on Dream Battle.

Shrine Maiden would work nicely I believe, in particular with the whole "Divine Balance spiraled out of control and the servants of the gods are acting strangely, someone has to go solve it."

The party already has covered the roles of arcane/divine/stabbing tank, so any role is welcome.

Might be better to go with Swordsage than Shrine Maiden if I actually want to focus on the school, though... seeing as how you only get one maneuver of every level above first (well, except for 9th) to play with due to the dual-progression with casting.

... or Hermit, because that has Dream Battle as one of its schools and also runs off Wisdom.

Though I am a little disappointed that one of the class abilities requires being in a particular school's stances. Oh well.

Could I?

Reading that fluff, I kinda want to half-jokingly ask to play a God  :lmao

I kind of have an idea too for Scholar on the other hand.

Well, a god in a weakened state(read: usually epic, but now "down" to level 14 due to the current petitioner crisis) may fit.

In case you missed it, hermit is still under review on my part for the mid and later levels.

Dream Battle swordsage would work tough.

Huh, I thought you'd finished going through the class. @_@

Hmm... how about Nord Blade? I am trying to emulate Reimu's insane natural talent, so... three schools would be Iron I-have-forgotten-this-part-and-just-keep-thinking-Iron-Heart-Surge, Dream Battle, and Border of Life.

... also because my luck with d20's has been very bad recently and I think they don't like me.

Posting interest. No builds yet, though I'm intrigued to hear if you OK Nord's Blade.

A class whose main stick is to screw over the RNG? No.

Altough notice the Shrine Maiden has the usual retraining at 4th level and every two other levels clause, so you would be able to get at least two maneuvers of each level from 7th to 3rd.

Not really any good with spell lists, so I guess I'll be sticking to swordsage.

Ah, well, thats kinda cool and all, but I guess I don't really have any idea on where to go with that choice in the end.

I think I'd like to do something along the lines of Scholar/Lunatic Lancer, actually.  :eh

Dream Swordsage and Lunatic Scholar would be a nice new duo for the team.

I'll be honest, I hate that character idea and I'm probably going to try and think of something else. :|

Would an ACF for Shrine Maiden replacing the spellcasting with more maneuvers readied/known be of your interest?

Honestly? Yeah, because as it is it seems to fit Yorihime or Sanae a lot more than Reimu, which is a bit... odd. Also, I love the other class features. :lmao

Check Silent Sinner in Blue. Reimu has more than her fair share of divine magic. She just doesn't go around preaching about it like those other two. :p

But anyway Warrior Maiden ACF added at the bottom of the class, how does it look?

Sounds fun.

how many players slots?

recently, I've had the urge to play some sort of Samurai. There are a couple homebrews out there.

hey oslecamo!
after a long hiatus I finally have time to come back. I think you used to play in my high arcana games before SirP took it over right?

anyways i would love to get in on the action. how many slots are open? if I am accepted I will start building out a PC immediately, but as of now I dont really have anything specific to play in mind.
Roses are Red. Gaming is fun. You're over encumbered and cannot Run.
