Huh, could buy a mule, too. Something to carry all this crap! :lmao

I don't suppose I could've bought one back in the village? Animals would be half the price there as the city. And I'd be more likely to actually buy a horse.

Related: can I just punch these guys from behind? I don't have the cestus, but on the other hand I don't want to kill them. Just stop the building destruction.

EDIT: Actually, We have... ~200 SP each, right? (395SP-200SP (keeping the mace)/2)+125SP. So... 97 (.5 can be cancelled out for, e.g., ink costs) + 125, or 222?

There's no such thing as non-lethal damage, ruleswise in LotFP.  If you declare that your PC is not striking to kill, then we can assume that you do so.

Assuming you sell everything but the mace, you have, the two worn ankle bracelets, and the Caelus Libram, then you have 125 silver pieces to divide among the two of you.  So 62.5 silver pieces plus 125 from your reward, plus your starting silver pieces of 5.6 equals 193.1 silver pieces.

As for Oslecamo, 62.5 plus 125 plus starting silver (none) equals 187.5 silver pieces for Kana.

-Rounds down to 192 for ink costs.-

Hmm, so, if I buy everything in the city...

Riding horse, riding gear, winter clothes and tent (regular) is 145 SP. Plus saddlebags would be a few SP more.

EDIT: If they're only 1HD, I think the leader's the last man standing. :lmao

Actually, you need to roll for group initiative.  I'll let you act first, as their attention was on Belker, but afterwards initiative will be done normally.  So if they roll higher they'll go before Kana, and if your initiative is higher then Kana can go next.

Also, two goons are on the roof, so you can target only 3 people.

And yes, all but the big guy are 0 level humans (1 hit point each).  The big guy's a 4 HD dude, with no armor.  So your fray dice can drop two of the mooks (8 die result equals 2 damage), and your sword will deal 1 to him (4 die result equals 1 damage).

Enemy Initiative 1d6 : 2, total 2

Bad guy's turn, then Kana.

Round after that, surprise round ends, putting the bad guys again.

You two need at least the credible threat of a challenge, I just happen to roll low damage-wise. :p

Just be consistent with which Initiative you're using! :<

Okay, but next time you have to roll normally, unless your group succeeds on Stealth checks and can get the jump on the enemies, or similar extraordinary circumstances.

You dropped another.  That's 3 out of 5 down.

Time for a Morale check.  If the result beats 7, then they flee.

Morale Check 2d6 : 1, 4, total 5

I figured it would make more sense if the goons fled, after seeing your prowess.

Anyway, new post, and new quest!

Map updated in the Rules and Setting thread to include Branball.  It's approximately 16 hexes away from Vornheim, located in the northwest section by the lake at the head of the Alsid River.

As each hex is 5 miles, it is about 80 miles travel.  For light encumbrance and plains travel (24 miles per day) that works out to a little over 3 days.

I think it could be reduced to no encumbrance since I have a horse now (though I need to update my gear list...)

That would be rather the point. The main reason for getting a horse rather than a donkey is that, when we both have one, riding is more of an option.
