Would creating temporary objects (for example clothes or a bow) break the vow of poverty?

The items have value while they exist, so if you own them, you break the vow. As an example, flame blade makes a force that is treated as a scimitar, but minor creation makes an actual bow. You could make them, but not possess or use them with VoP.

Yeah I don't believe that at all because they are temporary items created by magic. Your character knows this, and even if people who might buy such an item wouldn't know this, a VoP character is too LG to sell what is basically a fake item. There's no value here.

The only caveat would be in that you'd still have to follow the special rules of VoP, which allow clothing in general and simple weapons.
Crossbows are simple weapons. Bows are not.
So long as your temporary objects stay in line with the special exceptions for VoP, you can Minor/Major whatever you want.
