As I mentioned earlier, ....
Oops, I guess I missed that.
You don't have to rub my nose in it, you know.  :P
Sorry. Didn't mean it like that.
I was being facetious.

+1
... Jordain Vizier

Thanks.

There have been a few threads on that.
Jordain Vizier and Cerebrex are technically not compatible.
But a Magic Mantle -lite could possibly work for both.

I like the idea of having an Uatu The Watcher ~recording
all of my kitty avatar's !@#$ , while taking a few hits too.

You ever heard of Pikachu?  Well his PC jumped on this Orc

As mentioned above, Binders have a great 5th wheel role:  if you're willing to the legwork (and note, there's a lot of it), they can take on various different roles, but they also don't shine in them.  That is, they won't overshadow anyone.

The OP gives us very little detail about the campaign -- level?  Expected level?  Party make-up? -- so there's not a ton to go on.  I'd second other classes with unique abilities, like the Fiend of Possession mentioned above.

Support characters also seem like they fit the 5th Wheel model:  they can't do as much on their own, but they can really help out the party.  The classic one is the Bard, which is attractive b/c it also drags in all the fact/espionage stuff, which often might be neglected in a party.  I am also partial to the War Weaver -- it's support abilities don't have to just be a bucket of numbers, but can feel like real game changers.

call this Money + Bags

Skarn race (very odd choice)
Aristocrat 1 / OA Samurai 1
start with apprentice class versions = minor handwaving
sell the Katana (but not the other weapon)
Mercantile feat
Wandering Diplomacy feat
Resourceful Buyer feat , this could be delayed a few levels
maybe the Apprentice: Criminal feat

... (do other stuff for a while) ...

/ XYZ something / Spinemeld Warrior 2 , explains why Skarn race
probably doesn't need Wandering Diplomacy feat at this point

Find whatever Magic Items you want in Towns.
Forces the issue of Magic Marts, and good ones at that.

DWL can you walk me through this one? I'm feeling too lazy to track through sources and then try to figure out what is meant here.

An artificer is good enough, what with crafting for everyone, but focus the non-crafting portion of your build on archery. Take Pathfinder dye arrows and regular arrows, make them out of aurorum, and load them up with the spell storing infusion. Now use the dye arrows for buffs and Cures and the regular arrows for debuffs and damaging spells. Fire them off as needed, and you can buff and heal your allies, and debuff and damage your enemies, both at the same time. As an attack action, no less. From range.

Mix in Astral Tracker there; you can be a blood hound. "Offensively" use it with Exemplar 5 and get sky high Diplo checks somehow. Turn the tables on your stalkee!

"You see these panties you thought you lost in the changing room? Well actually, it way I who stole them. And all those drawings of you nude in the shower that were drawn while Scrying you that came in the post, that freaked you out so much you had to flee the very plane? Well guess what, I managed to smell your scent, and track you down, you're all mine!"

"Really?"
*squees*
"Marry me, my own personal stalker!"

You're going to want Silver Tongue on there. If only because it literally makes them fall in love with you due to your stalking.

Should the rest of us be worried or excited that you know how to use Diplomacy to make anyone fall in love with you, considering your forum status is "epic member"?

The emotion you should be feeling is giddy excitement.

Perhaps a Bard4/Crusader or Sublime Way Marshal2/Jade Phoenix Mage2/Sublime Chord2/JPM+8/Full Casting+X focused on party buffs and utility.  I can do a lot of things, and sorta handle the stuff other partymates aren't doing right now.

possible exploit (though not necessarily all that good)

Sybil PrC in Savage Species, has piles of riddles
+ Cerebrex PrC in Dragon Compendium, level 1 ability
Enigma's Bane (Ex): A Cerebrex knows the way to the heart of any mystery. When confronted by a puzzle, enigma, code, or riddle, she gains a circumstance bonus equal to her cerebrex level to any Intelligence checks or Intelligence-based skill checks necessary to solve it.

It would be like Me talking to Myself, polymorphed into my kitty avatar.
Sweeet.

Sorry for the tardiness - I don't read this thread that regularly anymore.  Feel free to message me and I'll catch it sooner.

The short version is that Jordain Vizier precludes magic:
"Special: Must be literate and speak Common, Halruaan, and at least two other languages. Must have been raised by House Jordain. Such rearing precludes the practice of arcane magic and the use of many magic items, subject to investigation by a magehound."

Cerebex requires it:
"Spellcasting: the ability to cast at 3rd-level arcane spells."

So the question is how can you both "cast magic" for Cerebex and not cast magic for Jordain vizier.  His answer was with magic-psioinic transparency, using psionics to qualify for cerebex.

Best,
David
