Day 164 part 2: Zodhunters

This session introduces:
Logan- male elf monk 4/fighter 3

Also, this party was way, way below wealth by level (and still is, just not as bad), except for a bunch of +2 javelins Arjun had, which was throwing off all kinds of treasure giving calculations. Since I don't really hold with magic shops (except for weak potions, scrolls, and wands), and they're in a war zone, they really have no way to upgrade their equipment.

The next update will probably be Saturday. After that, as warned, weekly or less, at least for this campaign.

Day 166: Zodhunters

Sometimes I make sarcastic comments in the log when the players aren't paying attention; now recorded for posterity.

Day 159: Elven Raiders

Part of the point of having multiple parties is so that we can still play D&D when someone isn't available. The Elven Raiders therefore doesn't include Arjun and Yudhisthir's player (who also plays Katreana and Karakaze), but everyone was available tonight, so that player ran the giants instead, and it worked out pretty well.

Day 167: Zodhunters

I've been planning the events of two sessions ago, this session, and the next two or three for over a year (if not two), so it's good to finally see it coming to fruition.

Day 162: Elven Raiders

All I can say about this is that generic ettins are glass cannons.

Day 169- Most Ancient and Original Group

The giants are speaking Swedish, in case you're wondering.

Day 171: MAOG

I didn't properly introduce a couple of new characters, so:

Escaflowne- male half-dragon fighter 8 (ECL 11)
Harvey- male anthropomorphic bat druid 11
Fluffy- Harvey's female megaraptor animal companion
Caboose- male half-orc barbarian 10 (shows up at the end of the session)

I think the last time I played AD&D (AKA 2e for you youngsters out there) was to attack the Glacial Rift of the Frost Giant Jarl (along with Zelda/Karla and Kaicl/Momenrech's players, each of us playing at least two characters) somewhere between 1996-1998. Of course there was much looting, which all went into Karla's bag of holding...and there is sat until this session in the Year of Our Lord 2018. All the expositional comments the PCs make are true; we did withdraw because the opposition got too tough (as I recall some of the giants decided it would be amusing to engage in a rock-throwing contest across the Rift). After that Real Life interfered and we never picked it up again.

Day 176- The MAOG Plus

Tragically, Real Life interfered with gaming last week. Sad, really.

Day 177: MAOG vs the Frost Giants

For those of you who happen to have a copy of either module G2 or the 1999 Against the Giants re-release, these giants are in area 2 and 1 (respectively). Zelda was heading into area 13 when the giants attacked (vacant, since they already killed the yeti who lived here). Due to fireball useage during the MAOG's first foray into the Rift, the wall on the north side of area 2 had a hole melted through it.

Day 177: MAOG vs the Frost Giants Part II

For those of your following along on the map, the party is in the hallway in the northeast corner of the Rift.

Day 159: Dwarven Volunteers

In this session we introduce
Tex- female halfling necromancer 4
Skelly- human skeleton minion (4 HD)

Tex's player (who also plays Caboose) and I have discussed a riding harness for Tex on her skeleton minion. I'm looking forward to that, not gonna lie.

Day 165: Sephira's Quest

Sylaernae's player (who also played Kaicl and Momenrech) has dropped out, so Sylaernae is now being played by the same person who plays Caboose and Tex. Curiously, Syl's personality didn't change much.

Day 164: Elven Raiders

An interesting tidbit (at least to me): this is the seventh session that has had something occur on Day 164, involving three of the parties.

Also, Caboose's player was running Navus.

Day 177: MAOG vs the Frost Giants III

I could've sworn I posted this on Saturday night, but maybe it fell out of the internet. And the number of views is like 30-ish lower than yesterday. Whatever.
