Interest in Playing or Running a Ship/Sea based Campaign?
« on: August 18, 2012, 12:22:25 PM »
The desire to take part in a sea based campaign, on board a ship, has been nagging at me for a while now. I'd like to know if anyone A: Has any interest in running such a campaign, and B: if anyone has any interest in playing in such a campaign. Currently, I'd prefer to be a player, but I wouldn't mind getting my first experience as a PBP DM. So it's up to whatever happens on the boards as to where this ends up.

I did have an eberron themed savage tide campaign at one point, I might start it up again if there is enough interest but not all of it is on a ship

That would be fine with me. Hopefully there is enough interest in it. :D

In which case we need a max of 6 players. Savage Tides starts at level 1 (but goes up rather fast, all the way to 20) I'll locate my adventure info pack and get back to you on rules.

I would prefer iconic eberron races, no monsters but I am perfectly happy to accept homebrew classes.

Players are first come first served and that max of 6 is absolute.

Hmmmm.... Daelkyr half-blood Warpsoul, spellscale Dragonmage, or magic-blooded changeling Thaumurai?

Well I still have my character from the first go around. Would need to review the sheet to see if I like the build still.

I might be interested in this.  My first thought was to try a seafaring minotaur out.

Do your houserules involve tweaking any core base classes?

Krynn Minotaur from Dragonlance Campaign Setting.

But if you'd prefer, I can go with something else.  I've never played a shifter really, so that might prove interesting.

Shifters are actually really fun.

littha, I'd prefer to play a Thaumarai if possible.  it's not quite done, but the class features are all posted if you want to vet it.
