I did look at them, but I've already got tons of dice, and 99% of my tabletop gaming nowadays is done via Maptool.
What do I win?
An awesome-five for mentioning Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness.

I have a ton of dice too.  I'm actually buying some for friends as Christmas presents.

So there's a kickstarter for a new board game that plays a lot like the Alien movies, Nemesis.

Cooperative gameplay, with secret objectives so you might want to lie and/or betray other players to get ahead.  Main goal is to escape the space ship infested with "intruders", without getting infected.

Well this allows for more than 2 players and the aliens seem to auto-act. Plus I have a soft spot for betrayal mechanics.

Also Nemesis seems to have a countdown mechanic where the ship is gonna eventually jump to hyper space but the engines are damaged. You can repair the engines but then need to get to a stasis pod to actually survive the jump.

NESmaker is a software tool for creating brand new, hardware playable, cartridge based games for the Nintendo Entertainment System...without having to write a single line of code.  There are videos on youtube showing how it works for anyone interested.
The DM giveth and the rogue taketh away.
I have a 5 in Charisma and Diplomacy is a cross-class skill.  Hopefully I don't piss off too many people.

No idea, but you don't really need them, just play it in an emulator. I guess it just sounds more diplomatic "make NES games to play in a NES" than "make NES games to play in a PC".

Pyromance Glass (Funding ends February 15th) - Really cool looking handmade glass sculptures for reasonable prices.  Also the glass is effectively Pyrex.

In Other Waters: This seems to be a pretty cool game. I have been assured by people who know such things that the designer has a reasonable budget and time-table.

Time to stop being lazy, these things are time sensitive after all.

XS Pocket Fountain Pen by ENSSO (Funding ends March 15th) - Have you ever wanted to try out a fountain pen but didn't want to spend a lot of money (because good ones can be expensive)?  If so, then check this out.

Starmancer (Funding ends March 16th) - A Dwarf Fortress inspired Space Station Simulator video game.  In space.

Edge of Darkness from AEG (Funding ends March 23rd) - A unique worker placement board game.  This one is complicated, just go look at it.

It Begins!

Psionics Guide for Starfinder RPG from Dreamscarred Press  (Funding ends April 19th) - I like the Starfinder ruleset.  I like the Dreamscarred Press books for Pathfinder.  Backing this was a no-brainer, especially at $10 for the pdf.

144 backers! Truly psionic fans are without number! :D

DPress at least smart enough to aim low just wanting some 5k base and goals only up to 10k.

Made of Meat (Funding ends April 12th) - The creepiest cutting boards ever.  I want them, I want them now!

Third Editions: Your Ultimate Gaming Library - Season 2 (Funding ends April 6th) - Very cool looking books about video games, a book per game (or series depending), with some series' being broken up into multiple volumes (for example, the Zelda games).  The kickstarter has excerpts of previously published books if you want to look at the quality.

Girl Genius: The Works (Funding ends April 20th) - A Girl Genius strategy card game.  For some reason I feel like there is a market for this here.

I'm not even very sure of what culinary meat names mean in my own native language let alone in english, but that's pretty much the best guideline I ever found to figure them out.
So creepy and educational!

Literally the only thing currently stopping me from pledging is the shipping cost from Sweden.

Throne of Night is still unreleased. There's talk of what will happen in April, as apparently there's a 5 year waiting period for people to start suing for unfinished projects. I was so close to backing it in 2013, but I'm so glad I didn't.

But let's look at some recently-released KickStarters:

Book of Passion: A Book of Erotic Fantasy style sourcebook for Pathfinder is recently out.

The good news: It has a shitload of archetypes and spells which can be of use in non-porny types of games.

The bad news: I don't like the art style for most pics.

Midgard: Dark Roads and Deep Magic: A five-year time advance for Kobold Press' popular campaign setting. I have the (mostly) system-neutral World Book and the 3 system guides for it.

It's a really cool book, but in spite of the metaplot going forward not a lot has changed. Sure there's new art and rules, but a lot of nations are more or less the same. I still love the setting though, and it's probably on my Top 5 to try some day.

Book of Exalted Darkness: If you're familiar with Way of the Wicked, this is pretty much an "evil campaign" save it's a whole setting rather than an Adventure Path and designed for 5th Edition. It's set in a 1920s art deco utopia where celestials and demigod heroes made a paradise on the Material Plane. But the PCs and a host of underground mad scientists seek to bring their shiny spires crashing down.

I read parts here and there. It's definitely got some neat ideas, although it feels like it's going too far to be edgy. There are rules for harvesting magic items out of not-Smurf faries, complete with a gruesome torture chamber illustration. And the sample adventure involves the PCs breaking into a school to kill two 13 year old simblings and carve demonic runes into their corpses.

Arcanis 5e: A 5th Edition D&D update on the Arcanis campaign setting. Didn't get much time to read it, but there's a fantasy counterpart Roman Empire vibe to it.

I try to let people know about kickstarters they might want to pledge for, linking people to stuff that already ended is less helpful.   :P

Miskatonic University: The Restricted Collection Board Game (Funding ends May 8th) - Have you ever wished that you attended Miskatonic University instead of whatever normal boring university you attended?

Well for the low price of a single dollar, you could get a non-personalized pdf degree of a Bachelor of Arts in Medieval Metaphysics from Miskatonic University (suitable for printing and framing).

This is as official as it gets. (Also you could get a game.)

Villagers - Card drafting & village building for 1-5 players (Funding ends June 13th) - A neat little game for a reasonable price with some depth.

Vote Dog: A Pet Comics Collection (Funding ends June 21st) - A collection of pet focused comics by the creator of the Sam and Fuzzy webcomic.  Some of these have been shared across the internet without a source so you might see some familiar stuff and now you know where it came from.
