Real-time updates for the button would involve either make it a worse looking button that also links to discord.com or would involve setting up some javascript code and forcing people to cache multiple versions of the picture.  Neither is great so I guess it doesn't matter if people think that 110 people are online when really it's 112 or 109.

If you look at the footer of the forum, you'll now see a list of who's online on the discord.

This has been removed as it just looked terrible on the mobile site.  However, an online count is now available in the new new News button.  This is button subject to change, the current button is using an API that doesn't have real-time update capabilities.

Seriously though... I only saw the link to this thread because of the giant font asking for feedback... Even when I was looking directly at that link, I still managed to completely not notice the News: Join us on discord link for several views!

Website updates have been made!  Here's a list of what I did:

1 - Table "th" table header cell code was a no go, th is already a defined bit of code and I can't figured out how GitP did what they did because they have a different backend and I can't access the css (or whatever) page that their th code is located in.  This to-do item just can't be done.

2 - I updated some more backend stuff.

3 - We now have a bright shiny new "Join us on Discord" button so people like nijineko will see it!  ;)

4 - The post editor has changed!  Now the Font Name, Font Size, and Font Color buttons actually show you what the different selections look like.  The Picture, Url, Email, and Ftp buttons now have pop-ups to help code things properly.  The Table button now has a pop-up that lets you select exactly how many cells you have in your table.  The smiley more link is now a button with a pop-up instead of opening up a new browser window.  It is just much nicer in general.

The APG is still getting feedback and being adjusted so I haven't looked at it yet, I won't until it's officially released since I have no interest in being part of the feedback process.  Honestly I haven't even looked at the core book since writing this review since I never expect to actually be able to play the system so I don't remember much about them and can't be much help.

Just an FYI, (Continued) is broken and no longer works (see my Consolidated Lycanthropy Guide for an example of it not working).  I have no idea how it was originally coded, the code appears to just be gone.

Spellstrike from Magic Item Compendium does that for saving throws vs spells and spell-like abilities, that's the closest that I know of to what you're looking for.

In this kind of situation people generally play an adventure that contains both so everyone can be happy (I don't know of any 5e third party/homebrew stuff that would handle this).  If you're like me you could also look into playing something that isn't D&D but I don't know if playing a system that handles intrigue as another sort of combat would make the intrigue focused people happy.

I'm going to attempt to revive this thread, let's see how it goes.  It's probably better than me spamming the Discord!

Today I backed Tesseract - A Cooperative Dice Manipulation Game (Funding ends November 11) - It's a fully cooperative game (like Pandemic) and everyone can just flat out lose if you hit a rough patch (like Pandemic) but it actually looks like I'd enjoy it (unlike Pandemic).

I've also backed Pinebox Middle School & The Horror Companion Double Feature (Funding ends November 10) because I'm a sucker for Savage Worlds even though I never get to play it.

Other currently active kickstarters of note are Mutants & Masterminds Reprint Extravaganza and More! (Funding ends November 22) which is pretty much what it sounds like (specifically for M&M 3E books) and CANVAS: Finishing Touches (Funding ends November 15), which is a game I like and enjoy but I'm not getting the expansion because I don't like lugging around multiple boxes for one game, if they come out with a big box then I might change my tune.

On November 1 Slay the Spire: The Board Game goes live.  From all of developer communications about it on the BoardGameGeek page I'm very interested but will have to see what the campaign and pricing look like.

I almost forgot, there are also Monty Python's Cocurricular Mediaeval Reenactment Programme (Funding ends November 18) and Cowboy Bebop - The Roleplaying Game (Funding ends November 16) if you want more weird obscure RPGs to never play (and then you can be like me, except I don't want these specific ones).

Ectopic forms on their own are fine and you are correct, they are only additions and don't trade away the ability to select menu options (although it looks like they trade away the ability when you look at the stat blocks).

Honestly the main issue with ectopic forms is that if you are using them you are probably also using the nerfed Astral Construct power in Complete Psionic which prevents you from having more than one construct at a time, and that's a huge nerf.

Okay, we just finished another (much shorter) maintenance mode implementing many hours of work.

WE ARE NOW MOBILE FRIENDLY (not including the following pages which effectively can't be mobile friendly: calendar, bookmarks, and the members page).

If you want to be able to enjoy mobile friendliness you will have to clear your broswer cache.

The main pages impacted are the different pages that show you threads (either all of them or just unread ones) but the board list on the homepage got some love too.  Please let me know if you encounter any issues. 

This was way more work than expected so I'll be taking a break before moving forward with other changes.  Now that we're mobile friendly I have no plans to change the look or theme of the site.

Edit: My to-do list included looking into snazzing up the header area.  That one is not happening, I've been really deep into the actual code for the site and changing the header would mean adding code and it's honestly not worth the effort.

Well that's the only explanation I thought of, I've never looked at a Kalamar book.

Nijineko will have to explain it for themselves whenever they log back in.

They have the licensed content seal, they do not have the Wizards of the Coast logo like the Dragonlance Campaign Setting does.  That probably has something to do with it.
